Let’s me know when he gets out of bed.
This is great for my dad who has Alzheimer’s. Once you find the perfect spot to set it up in it works brilliantly.

Safety Alarm for elderly
This is an excellent product. I can sleep better now knowing that if my elderly Mum gets up I will be notified and be there to help her and prevent any falls. This product brought so much peace.the seller has excellent costumer service too and sorted my issues very quickly. I recommend this product.

Confusing, but appears to work.
On the plus side, this product is inexpensive, compact, and appears to work without any setting up, although I have as yet only carried out an initial functionality test and not started using it for the purpose it was required. The negative side relates to the user manual and components. The manual is almost completely incomprehensible. It says that the each unit is powered by three AAA batteries, but in fact one unit is powered by three AAA batteries and the other by two AA batteries, all supplied. A great mystery is the supplied USB cable, described as a charging cable. There is a USB socket on the transmitter, but the supplied batteries are not rechargeable and the instructions make no mention of charging with the cable. Edit: I emailed the manufacturers to enquire what the USB cable was for and have now received this reply: "The infrared transmitter is either battery-powered or can be powered via a wire without batteries (a plug is required). The product only requires two batteries; the instruction manual is incorrect." Edit 2". Further to my last edit, I've had another email from Daytech apologising for the omission in the manual. They have been very prompt in replying to me, so I've upped my review to ****. After all, the device works well and was very inexpensive.

Gives me peace of mind as a carer.
My wife has dementia and I am worried that she may wander in the night. I have set up this monitor so that if she starts to go down the stairs at night the alarm will wake me up. Neat little unit and easy to set up. Recommended for concerned carers.

AMAZING
This is a game changer.. I have a child who has autism and ADHD along with a good amount of other disabilities.. He likes to wonder and I got this for night time for a piece of mind because he gets up in the middle of the night a lot.. Well this is a fantastic product I have put it on my stairs so it let's me know if he is trying to go down them it definitely works and I'm so glad I come across this it's been fantastic and helped me out so much in making sure my baby is safe.. Very very happy this is a must have

Not effective
Batteries supplied for receiver were flat. PIR overly sensitive and only one working. Difficult to reset receiver after it has gone off. Will be returning as it did not detect relative when they got out of bed

Excellent to alert carer of wandering parent
My mother is suffering more from dementia and this is now limiting her mobility. I used to have a very broken night of sleep as I would constantly worry about missing her getting up and going to the toilet and a few days ago this resulted in her having a minor fall as she tried to get back into bed. This system now alerts me as she gets out of bed so I am able to keep an eye on her and be there to help if needed. This has resulted in a load off my mind. I have set the alarm up to vibrate and flash with an audible alert but I have set the audible alert to silent as the vibration on its own is enough to wake me. I switch the alarm off during the day and only turn it on when she is in her bed. If you look after someone and worry about them wandering on their own then I encourage you to get one - it's not a lot of money for peace of mind.
