Thorne Research - 5-MTHF 1 mg Folate - Active Vitamin B9 Folate Supplement - 60 Capsules

Following a low blood folate result in a blood test, my amateur research on bio availability brought me to the Thorne Research 5-MTHF 1mg supplement.After approximately ten weeks I feel noticeably better - definitely more energy - and my blood results have improved significantly.I wish the availability of the product was better in the UK than it seems to be. I've had to look to another brand in terms of buying my next supply of 5-MTHF because the availability of the Thorne product on Amazon, at a stable price, is not great.

This is a wonderful life changing supplement for me. Its taken me a long time time to realize that a lot of the fatigue issues that I have had most of my life are due to methylation problems. Taking these activated forms of Folate, B6 and B12 have made such a difference to my energy levels and resilience I am able to go out and live again!This is just a piece in the puzzle to my complex health problems though so I continue to learn and heal. A crucial piece non the less.Highly recommended if you suspect or know that you have an MTHFR gene mutation that apparently 50% of us have! The activated forms of the crucial B vitamins will help to correct this, just takes a little time but you will soon feel benefits!Good luck!

I use this supplement daily as I have MTHFR, a common gene mutation (I am compound heterozygous A1298C and C677T), which means I do not have enough of the enzyme to break down synthetic (un methylated) folic acid (as found in many high street multi vitamins). I use this alongside a high quality (methylated form) multi vitamin. I have been using this product since I was pregnant over 2 years ago and whilst breast feeding. A great product. I highly recommend this to any woman considering pregnancy and also those that have trouble absorbing folic acid.

I order this product every month. Two months ago I received a bottle that was not sealed - the seller never remedied this and dropped communication half way through trying to figure out what to do. This last order, my capsules were rancid so i had to place a rush order for a new bottle. I dont really understand why there are so many issues with this product. Its good IF you get a good bottle but its a gamble. Will look to buy directly from manufacturer as never had an issue before. UPDATE: my replacement bottle I just purchased is unsealed too. I will stop buying from Amazon and would not recommend this to anyone. Products are unsafe.

Brought as I was folate deficient but made me so dizzy sick breathless and tired, became very irritated and more anxious. Had to stop and come off. Now had to get a prescription from doctor. Do not recommend

I use this because I am salicylate intolerant. When I am taking this, I manage the condition better - how much this is due to these pills / other supplements I am also taking / other factors - I have no idea. I will certainly reorder this.

This is amazing for period pains and endometriosis. I 100% recommend!
