Bought this for a crochet project, and it is very nice to work with. The yarn isn’t scratchy at all. It tends to separate a bit, but most wool yarns do that.

Whenever I want to create projects using 100% wool that I intend to felt, I A.L.W.A.Y.S. buy KnitPicks Wool of the Andes yarn. It felts beautifully; it's soft; and the colors stay true after felting.

I used this yarn for doll hair. It worked very well. The doll has been played with and the individual strands are holding up well, not unwinding. It is soft and has the perfect weight. I would purchase it again.

I've been trying to match a vintage Red Heart granny square center flower to finish up the many squares that were left over from a project my mom inherited from the 70s. Alas, this color doesn't match the really yellow one from the original granny square. I'll continue to search all new yellows in the future. Maybe in 5 years or so, the ugly original color will come back. A gal can hope...

I couldn't use this for what I wanted it for since it was so thin and frayable. Love the color though.
