If you enjoy escape rooms IRL, but maybe don't want to spend the money, get these instead. Exit the Game is a great at home unlimited time frame game where you solve puzzles to get clues that you can look up on a wheel which tells you what card to draw to give you the next puzzle to solve. It's hard to explain, really, but a group of family and friends can spend literally hours working to solve the puzzles and "escape" the room. Start with the easier ones (the ratings are on the boxes) and work your way up to the harder challenges.

This is a great game to play as an in-home date night or with a small group! Unlike other exit games, there are levels of hints so that you can have levels of challenges. The company that makes these are so clever and creative, you will want to have another one ready for the next get together.

These games were so much fun! My husband got this for our anniversary. We love escape games and we have played all 3 of these at home and have loved all of them. They are so much fun! The "harder" ones could use a little more direction because they are super hard but still super fun! Hours of enjoyment!

EXIT: The Game is a unique take on the escape room genre. The puzzles range from insidiously clever to outright tedious. With it's fairly low price point, it's not too bad as a one-and-done system. The card and wheel system that they have feels a bit dated, and it could benefit from using an integrated app in some form. Each of these games comes in a small box full of deck-sized cards (some pieces are a bit bigger). With decent eyesight, readability is not an issue. However, the playability is limited to smaller groups, as sometimes there is not enough to do for more than 3 people. Nevertheless, it's worth a purchase just to try it out.

The games are pretty good. They are a challenge for adults so the age restrictions are realistic here. HINT: Take a picture on your phone or tablet and draw/color there. You must mark up something but you don’t have to mark up any paper, just markup photos. Other than that we had to cut out one thing in the lab game and we folded two pages throughout the games. Overall they can be reused. Then pass them on to friends.

My partner and I were trying to come up with date night ideas that we could stay at home and do. We came across these and I am so glad that we did! We have had such a fun time together doing these!

I was honestly kind of annoyed and disagree with the EXIT game instructions. SPOILER ALERT: in one of the games, they thought it was clever to have you use the box, but they forgot to update the directions which made it impossible to solve so we definitely didn't enjoy it and also went beyond time.

We were looking for an activity that my husband and I could both enjoy. This was definitely it! These games allowed us to work together, rather than compete against each other. There was no winner and no loser. Saved a lot of arguments. The only criticism we have is about the size of some of the pictures / cards; some of the images were rather small and would have been better being in the booklet rather than on cards. The puzzles were challenging and engaging. We used a few of the clue cards and only one or two solution cards when we were really stuck. There was no way that we were going to make the time limit. I think the fastest we finished was about 90 minutes, with the longest one taking over 2 hours. Still, it was great fun and a good way to spend a night in, during this time of lockdown / isolation with restrictions and closures on many local venues. Special appreciation goes to the creators of the games for their lateral thinking, using the entirety of the gaming materials provided. Shortly after playing the first EXIT GAME, my husband suggested we have a go at the next one, and since then we have ordered even more. One recommendation would be that players should not have consumed too much alcohol before attempting to solve the puzzles.
