1/35 Scale ~ Country Diorama Base - size 200mm x 155mm

Reasonably decent base suitable for country or desert scene for diorama use, my only complaint is that the makers included what appear to be tank tracks in the middle of this. I would prefer that they hadn't done that as I did not intend to use this for a tank. However, a little bit of work with some modeling putty fixed that so it's not a terrible thing.This, like many of the diorama bases from FoG is plaster and unpainted, there is a fair amount of base detail here to work with, and it is a simple matter to add scenic scatter if required or other items and it works just as well for mud, hard ground, snow or sand depending on the purpose you want it to serve. Easy to paint as all of their bases are, you can keep it basic, or go as mad as you want on the colour and texturing. The only limitation is your imagination.

Got a refund for this as it was scheduled for delivery on the 20th of November and only arrived 23rd of December, while the base looks amazing now that it arrived unfortunatly it was snapped in half and basically destroyed by the time it arrived, as its ceramic Glue wont really fix a broken & Shattered piece.I blame Yodel for the damage otherwise it looks amazing.

Bought it to display the Tamiya LRDG kit. Being plaster takes up a load of paint . Used an old picture frame to put it into and bonded the sides with DAS .The detail in the plaster is superb with tyre tracks and boulders. Makes a great diorama base.

Fast delivery, 2 days earlier than expected. A well moulded diorama base, slightly smaller than I expected, but the dimensions are correct, I just didn't consider them properly before buying. Will work for most 1/35th wheeled kits, likely to be too small for 1)35th armour though.I'll buy from FoG again based on this purchase.

Very heavy and breakable with poor detail.

Another great product from F.O.G. looks great. When painting use a base coat of dessert yellow, then top coat with tamiya grit effect paint to get the sand texture you need. Happy modeling...

Unfortunately when I opened the package the item was broken ! However I'm still going to give it 2 stars because I can glue it back together and when it's decorated no will know. If it had arrived in perfect condition it would have got 5! Please take more care!. Thanks

I am yet to decide as to what AFV I will add to this diorama but the quality is very good.
