Dad was looking for this exact version everywhere but couldn't find it. Went ahead and bought 2 cases. He's happy.

I always kind of liked canned clam chowder for the price on the low end, but I sometimes added black pepper to give it more flavor. This style solves the too mild problem I've always had. In a restaurant you can have super delicious cream, but for home eating this is by far my favorite canned chowder.

Very thick and hearty soup with a little heat added. Also it is a great value for the price. I bought one can at the grocery store to try out when it was on sale for around $2.50. Loved it. Went back the following week and the sale was over and was priced at $3.69. So I checked amazon found the soup for $22.75, which comes out to $1.89 a can. Great price and great tasting soup.
