Melbourne Australia 1:12,500 Travel Map

This map is very useful in that it shows a lot of detail and public transport routes, but it is not 100% up to date. Also, it would have been nice if it showed a wider area to include more of the Melbourne suburbs.

This is a detailed map of Melbourne, but really it is an unnecessary purchase these days. I didn't use it the first time we were in Melbourne, and I didn't even both to bring this second time. Melbourne has a great tourist center with all sorts of free materials and assistance, plus there is a great free tourist tram around the central tourist area. Even the map we got in our hotel was totally adequate. Many people these days also have GPS on their phones.I guess I will donate it to the library book sale!

We find that if we arrive with a great map we don't need to find one - everything is on line, but to plan excursions from day one it is always good to come equipped with a map showing tram routes, etc. This one was great! And the type and text was large enough to actually make routing easy.

It had enough detail and was perfect for what I needed as a first time tourist to the city.

This map definitely has the tourist part of the city, but not the entire city. I believe it will work good for us. I couldn't even find this online from the company that makes it.
