THIS MOTOR IS AMAZING!!! Runs like a 3s battery on a 2s. I beat the crap out of my trx-4 with heavy loads, rough terrain, and long runtimes. The torque, speed, everything is so much better than a stock motor. Never going back to traxxas. When it inevitably died due to my hard use after 4 months, there was no smoke, no short circuting, no flames, no flare, nothing. That's exactly what I want out of a motor, run great and dont make a scene when dying. It just kinda quit. Last motors ive had spat flames and smoke, creating a stressful scene. 200% of what I was expecting of this motor, and for sure buying again. BUY THIS MOTOR!

This OGRC 550 21T brushed motor is a legit upgrade for trail rigs like the TRX4, TRX6, and SCX10. I dropped it into my TRX4 Bronco and was impressed right away—torque delivery is smooth, throttle response is crisp, and it runs cooler than expected even under load. The build quality feels solid: clean solder joints, balanced shaft, and no weird noise or cogging. It’s a great match for 2S or 3S setups if you’re looking for a balance between crawling control and trail speed. I’ve run it through water, mud, and rocks—no hiccups so far. If you’re replacing a stock 21T or just want a reliable brushed motor without breaking the bank, this one delivers. Bonus: it fits perfectly in Redcat and Axial rigs too.

While this does work for a TRX4, the wires need to be switched in order for it to drive correctly with the remote. The original Traxxas TRX4 motor has a reverse rotation. I can't really speak to longevity of the motor as my son burned this one up within 2 weeks, but he is autistic and will continue to try and drive the truck even if something isn't working right, so I won't speak against the quality or longevity due to that.
