It goes into any SDS-Plus drill like the bits do, so yes. ie then instead of being a drill bit or chisel it is a holder that takes normal drill bits.

Does this fit a Makita 26 mm sds plus hammer drill?

I think it will fit any SDS Chuck, however the one I bought shook itself apart after a couple of uses in hammer mode, so I only use SDS drills I. Hammer mode now.

What is the shaft length in mm/cm? Thanks!

Sorry cannot help as this was for my son but would have thought they were all standard length to engage with the SDS chuck on any drill.

This is an adaptor chuck (P-33788) specifically designed to allow standard drill bits to be used in an SDS + drill ( using non hammer action mode) Look HERE at the spare parts manual https://www.partshopdirect.co.uk/makita-hp2033-20mm-hammer-drill-spare-parts-s10731/ You will see the chuck is held onto the drill spindle with a special LH threaded screw , there is no provision to fit an chuck with an SDS spindle to this drill. It may be possible to fit the P-33788 chuck to the drill spindle but simpler/cheaper, to just buy a standard replacement chuck if you can find one.
