Flawless for over 4 years and a half
*Update on the 17th of April 2023*Great news, the cause of the circuit tripping was not the dehumidifier but rather the fridge-freezer.Therefore I can still use this great dehumidifier. The only ageing bit, as reported below, is the front panel where the on/off button is damaged and the unit can be switched on only by clicking a corner of that button. Switching it off is equally tricky but a workaround is to use the timer button, so that it would turn off after 1 hour. All buttons in the front panel work well except for the on/off button.*Update on the 30th of March 2023*It’s unfortunate that Duronic discontinued this product. In the last couple of days the dehumidifier appears to trip the circuit breaker after about 6 hours of usage and in recent months it has become a bit fiddly to switch the unit on and off, as the front panel is ageing. However, I would just send it for repair or buy a new one. As per my original review, 3 years of healthy operational life would have been good enough for me and this product exceeded that goal.I have now to look for a similar product to replace this one but it won’t be an easy task.Congratulations Duronic team on a product that would be worth bringing back to market.*Update on the 12th of June 2020*Nearly 20 months later, I can only further recommend this awesome product. Unfortunately it's now flagged as "sold out" even on the manufacturer website, but it might be just a temporary Covid-related issue since they appear to focus on PPI production.Anyway, hoping that they will produce this humidifier again, I can further add that it's reliable, not too noisy, the air filter is extremely easy to clean and the water tray/container is quite easy to pull out and fit back in (well, to be completely honest it is sometimes a little fiddly to insert back in but I got used to the required moves). It doesn't seem to add too much to the electricity bill, but I switch it on only when we have the washing out or anyway when humidity is above 60% in the house. Moreover, we use it mostly in winter, with warmer weather I just keep some windows open.*Original review from the 28th of October 2018*I received this item only 5 days ago so it's way too early to comment on durability or power consumption but it's proving to be exactly what we needed at a competitive price when looking at similar alternatives. If I consider the two most common early concerns across dehumidifier reviews, namely smell and noise, I can truly testify that the Duronic doesn't smell at all and noise is barely noticeable when at the lowest fan setting. Even at the highest setting it's not annoying at all. I'm now typing this review with the Duronic in the same room as I have some laundry left to dry on a rack, I am listening to music and I can barely hear the dehumidifier right behind me.It is extremely easy to use and the water container is bigger (4 litres) than most other dehumidifiers in this price range, so it needs to be emptied less often. When we first started the dehumidifier, the humidity level was nearly 80%, and the Duronic brought it down to to 55% in less than 24 hours. If I really want to pick anything less than perfect in this Duronic product, then I can mention the power cable which could be longer to allow for positioning the unit anywhere in a flat/house. We have to use an extension cable in a couple of rooms, but that's absolutely a minor concern.I will add more information in a few months, once I will have gauged its impact on the electricity bill. Clearly durability will require even more time (I hope...) before stating anything. Unfortunately its warranty lasts only for one year, while I am expecting an item of this kind to last at least 3 years. I also have to better understand, over time, how often and for how long I will actually use it every week, as definitely weather and seasons are significant variables. So far, I and my wife are very pleased with our choice.

Easy to Use Dehumidifier
This is a great product and powerful at reducing moisture in the air. We had a lot of issues with damp in our apartment but the Duronic dehumidifier has helped to eliminate it.In general it's easy to easy and very portable. I particularly like the humidity percentage counter that let's you know how much humidity is in your home. There's also a clothes drying feature which is very helpful and useful in a country like Ireland in the winter time. Our clothes smell a lot like damp as a result! My only criticism of the product is that it's difficult to view the settings as the lighting display doesn't light up all the numbers, so it requires bright light or a torch to view the settings correctly.Once you get use to the product, this isn't so much of a problem. Just in the initial setting up stages.Overall I'd recommend this product for purifying household air and helping to remove damp.

Solid, reliable and works like a dream.
We are very happy with this dehumidifier - and amazed at the amount of moisture it collects - we no longer have any condensation on our windows at night. On the lowest fan setting it would be quiet enough not to disturb sleep although we choose to run it through the day on a higher fan setting. The tank has a 4 litre capacity and it collects about 4 litres through the day and switches off when the tank is full. The tank - when full - is easy to remove and due to its enclosed design doesn't slop at all and pours well. The unit feels solid and is fairly heavy - which means it doesn't 'scoot about' when the tank is removed or replaced. We live in a hard water area, so the de-mineralised water it collects is ideal for the steam iron. Some of the reviews comment on the small text and symbols on the display - they are right - but in practice (like us) you'll probably find the setting that suits you and never change it! The on/off button is large and clearly marked.I'd have no hesitation in recommending this dehumidifier.

This is my 2nd unit.My 1st one lasted 5 years with almost daily use throughout. It certainly pulls the moisture out of the air and is terrific for drying clothes.Well worth the money.
