Well is it big, blimey yes it is, I didn't realise, should of looked at dimensions. However due to its size I have found I only need it on number 1 to cool. Quiet!! A lot quieter than others I have had, it must be as it stayed on all night.I brought the remote with it but found trying to fit transmitter in rose part I could not fit it flush and had to use short extension rod, luck y it was short. Remote is perfect for this fan, it turns light on, off and fan speeds 0-3.Very well made and connections well thought out with push fit connections.A solid piece of kit and you get what you pay for so happy I picked this make.

Another lovely fan unit from Westinghouse, and I must say one of the better ones, too - I have five westinghouse fans in my home (in 4 types) .I wanted a larger unit for my dining room and this is just right, providing good movement even on the slowest setting. Works great in both directions, too. You will find it useful to have a spare pair of hands at certain points of the installation, whilst not crucial this will save time.Like all heavy units do not mount entirely to plasterboard, get anchor bolts or heavy duty fixings into a joist or board fitted between two joists. The holes should be predrilled with a suitable pilot drill.There are two mounting options.Flush: achieved by screwing top cover to motor housing (in instruction booklet)Extended: with included short ext rod. However, for this type of model I recommend the flush method. Especially if you convert to remote control as I did. You'll notice I used the low cost third party radio remote over the standard ir westinghouse remote that is less functional.It takes around 2 hrs to fit, on your own.I added two mini fluorescent lights which the frosted bowl cover had no problem hiding. However I have now swapped these for two 'warm' LED lamps from Tesco (equiv £1 each)Highly recommended and will no doubt get another.Edit: Did get another and swapped the big Brandon out of lounge to master bedroom. Again used same third party rf remote, and mounted flush.

I bought this after a bout of hot weather made for a few sleepless nights. I paired it with a Sonoff voice control unit for Alexa integration. One small modification is required to make this work, which is separating the live power feeds in the mounting bracket - as supplied, both fan and lights are connected together. Very straightforward to separate, join the feeds correctly, follow the rest of the instructions and you end up with a (rather large) ceiling fan. My issue was that one of the light fittings didnt work. Everything else was fine, just not one of the light fittings.Emailed the manufacturer, specifically asking whether separating the feeds could have caused a problem, and mention in passing that I separated the feeds for Alexa integration. All the response I got back was "we dont troubleshoot Alexa issues, maybe return the unit it might be faulty". No answer to my specific question, very slopey-shouldered "you've added something else, we're not interested in answering" attitude.Amazon provided a replacement for the light fitting (note, I didnt feel the need to question the voice control unit) and everything is now working.Minus one star for the customer support response!

I needed a new ceiling fan, something with a good breeze. This delivers it hands down.Everything from:-Easy to follow instructionsAll required bolts in the boxFinal great looking product.whisper quiet after installationGREAT breeze.The overall install for two people including removing an old fan was under an hour.The only disappointing element is that due to the position of the bulbs there is minimal light projected onto the ceiling. Just bear this in mind as it leaves a very dark ceiling.Also it is very big when compared to other fans, however this shouldn't be a problem unless its going into a box room.

I have just assembled and installed this fan today. It's fairly easy to assemble and seems to work quite well, with a strong down draught but will have to wait until Summer to see how effective it is. However, it is very noisy with noticable humming sound as soon as you turn fan on, even at lowest speed setting, although the operating manual does say that you need to run it in for 24 hours for it to settler down. I may have to revisit my judgement, but I can't see me using this while trying to sleep.

It works beautifully, without a lot of noise. The lights are a very useful addition.You can choose to install the blades as white or brown, which has the downside that you need to attach them to the brackets with three machine screws each. The brackets then need to be screwed to the motor assembly through a hole in the lower part of the unit, which is fiddly, but not too hard, especially if you have a magnetized screwdriver.The light unit attaches by a simple plug, and has room for two golf-ball bulbs. I used LED bulbs, which give a good light, well diffused by the dome supplied with the fan.My wife is American, and insisted on a 52" fan, as the smaller ones need to spin too fast to be of any use. This stirs up the air in our orangery even on its lowest setting, but does not subject people underneath to an uncomfortable blast.

Superb fan. This is so quiet , all I feel is a cool breeze. I don't use the light , but did buy the remote control as an extra and it all works beautifully.I previously had a draper wall fan , but this is so much better, although did cost alot more , but is worth every penny.Definitley one of my best buys !Easy to put up, as is adding the remote section, , it looks a bit big for a low ceiling but I got used to it ! Has been great during these warm nights.

Con sus tres velocidades da la cantidad de aire que necesitas: remover, ventilar y tornado. He visto que algún comentario critica que no da aire, pero seguro que no han seleccionado el sentido de rotación adecuado. Las dos primeras velocidades son casi inaudibles. Las luces son regulables en intensidad, poniendo las bombillas led adecuadas. Yo las compre en I K E A y van perfectas. Las noches de verano han mejorado sensiblemente con el ventilador puesto, moviendo aire natural y no acondicionado.La instalación... pues como todas: se requiere un poco de "manitas" y sentido común, pero el aparato es robusto y no deja lugar a dudas, al menos a mi.Solo una cosa: el mando funciona por infrarojos sin clave alguna. Hemos comprado dos ventiladores y un mando para cada uno. Están en habitaciones contiguas. Afortunadamente no se cruzan y no actuas desintencionadamente sobre el de la otra habitación. Un mando por radio codificado creo hubiera sido opción más segura, pero como digo, no afecta al funcionamiento.Una de las mejores compras que hice.

Ottimo prodotto. Silenzioso e fa egregiamente il suo dovere. Unica pecca è che se viene investito da una corrente d'aria tipo finestra aperta specialmente alle alte velocità si tende a sentire il rumore del motore e di notte magari può dare fastidio. Ma é un problema indipendente dal modello. il prodotto è solido di ottima e robusta fattura e ripeto fa egregiamente il suo dovere.Io l'ho usato in stanza 2,4m×3,6m quindi un poco sovradimensionato ma lo uso principalmente a velocità 1 e dà quella brezza che serve in giornate afose.Istruzioni andtebbero migliorate.buona traduzione, precise anche se all'inìzio un po fuorvianti perché non separa il montaggio normale da quello con la prolunga. Manca una lista dei componenti che trovate nella scatola nonostante il manuale dica: verificate che ci siamo tutti i componenti...Unico consiglio che posso dare è montare già a terra le pale a ventilatore capovolto prima di appenderlo. Si evita così uno sforzo inutile. Luce ok. Io ho usato 2 lampadine a led E14 a bulbo da 4w l'una e fanno una luce adeguata e gradevole.

Ich habe den Deckenventilator gekauft, um nicht immer die Klimaanlage einschalten zu müssen, wenn es im Zimmer etwas wärmer wird.Diese Funktion (als Klimaanlagenersatz bei nicht zu heißen Tagen) erfüllt er mit Bravour.An extrem heißen Tagen, wie jetzt bei 38° Außentemperatur, unterstützt er auf höchster Stufe die Klimaanlage.Der Ventilator hat 3 Stufen. Auf der höchsten Stufe sollte man keine losen Zettel im Zimmer liegen haben oder er verbläst sie.Die mittlere Stufe bringt auch noch etwas Abkühlung. Die langsamste Stufe ist nicht mehr sonderlich wirksam.Das Betriebsgeräusch ist in allen Stufen äußerst dezent (Montage an Betondecke). Die Luftzirkulation empfinde ich nicht als störend, eher wie ein leichter Luftzug im Freien.Angenehm ist, dass der Ventilator die Luft vertikal umwälzt und einem nie ins Gesicht bläst, so wie es ein Tischventilator macht.Es gibt übrigens auch einen Wintermodus, bei dem sich der Ventilator in die andere Richtung dreht und die kalte Luft von unten nach oben saugt.Ob das in der Praxis funktioniert habe ich noch nicht ausprobiert, es klingt aber logisch, weil die kalte Luft absinkt.Der Platz für die Beleuchtung ist in der Tat etwas knapp bemessen, wie andere Rezensenten auch festgestellt haben.Wer die passenden Leuchtmittel sucht, dem kann ich die  HIGH LUX HLS-11/827/14, Energiesparlampe Spiral, 11 W, E14, 650 Lumen, 10.000 Std., 2.700 K warmweiß, 42 x 96 mm (bald auch wieder im vorteilhaften 3er Pack)  Energiesparlampen empfehlen. Sie passen rein und spenden angenehmes und warmes Licht. Eigentlich wollte ich LEDs verwenden aber ich habe keine gefunden, wo der Preis und die Größe gestimmt haben, deshalb die (Zwischen-)Lösung mit den Energiesparlampen.Fazit: Eine Klimaanlage kann er nicht komplett ersetzen aber er ist eine gute Ergänzung.Mit dem Deckenventilator kann man die Klimaanlage ruhig ein paar Grad wärmer einstellen ohne zu schwitzen.Das spart Energie und Geld.Installation: Eine verständliche Anleitung liegt bei. Für den Ein- und Zusammenbau sollte man 1-2 Stunden einkalkulieren. Ich habe den Ventialtor an einer Betondecke montiert, die mitgelieferten Dübel halten auch ohne Probleme im Beton, man muss sich hier nichts extra kaufen, wie ein anderer Rezensent geschrieben hat.Einfach Löcher bohren, die mitgelieferten Dübel rein und dann die (Holz-)Schrauben in die Dübel. Bei mir hält das sehr gut.Man sollte lediglich eine gute Schlagbohrmaschine zuhause haben und sich auch bewusst sein, dass man nach dem Bohren im Beton viel Dreck und Staub im Zimmer hat. Ventilatore solido e bello da vedere. Acquistato principalmente poiché abbiamo soffitti molto alti, quindi è utile poter spostare l'aria calda dall'alto verso il basso in inverno. A questo proposito: un pochino fuorvianti le frecce sul selettore avanti/indietro; contattato il venditore, ogni dubbio è stato chiarito.Per il controllo da remoto, è necessario acquistare il kit a parte; in alternativa si possono usare le cordicelle, che risultano però piuttosto corte. Montaggio leggermente laborioso, ma fattibile anche da sé.
