Expensive - yes, but worth it
I've wanted one of these (and the matching toaster) for ages. Took the plunge and forked out for the most expensive kettle I've ever owned.Practically speaking, it performs as well as any other quality kettle. It's quite fast, quite quiet and safe to pick up whilst full of hot water, as the handle remains cool enough to touch. What sets this apart, for me at least, are the classic looks, the flask-like construction that keeps boiled water warm, and the accurate pour. You do however, need to tip the kettle quite far to get the water out.I hope and expect that this is the last kettle that I ever need to buy, and while I own it, I will smile whilst admiring my investment.

Best kettle ever
I’ve been putting off buying this kettle due to the premium price tag. I purchased the Dualit classic toaster more than 20 years ago! but have continued to go through many cheap brand kettles, usually noisy and flimsy. This kettle is in a class of it’s own; quiet fast boil, sturdy build quality, premium materials and the best part is the spout does not drip! I expect with correct de-scaling care it will serve well for a few years. It looks great on the worktop next to my old toaster. Very happy that I took the plunge for this premium brand.

Lovely kettle
So far I am very happy with my purchase. The kettle does what it says on the tin, i.e. boils water. But it is the quality feel of the product that makes it for me. Looks stylish in my opinion too, as well as having some good safety features, e.g. it switches itself off when you remove it from its base, which I have not had before with other kettles I have bought. Have had it for a limited time so cannot pass any comment as regards longevity. I was a little worried about opening the lid immediately after boiling water in terms of possible burns, but I have not had any issues to worry about to date. (As with any hot product you just need approach things with relevant caution). It is definitely the quietest kettle whilst boiling that I have ever had the pleasure of owning. Overall I am super happy with my purchase👍🏼👍🏼.

Love the Boil
This kettle looks good and a few interesting features like – repairable heating element, quiet and able to boil small quantities of water.Experience:The quietest kettle that I have ever used. This is particularly convenient as I have an open plan kitchen and living room. Previously, life stopped for the kettle to boil.Boil small quantities of water enough for one mug. This is really convenient as it saves on the electricity as all the boiled water is used.Fast - it takes 45 seconds to boil the water for one mug (or 1 cup from the markings on the kettle).Drip free. No residue of water on the kitchen surface after pouring the boiling water. The handle is comfortable to carry the kettle and whilst pouring the water.Cordless – like all modern kettles.Sustainability. The heating element can be replaced. This is a unique point for a cordless kettle. It can be stiff to open the kettle lid. The lid has to be opened as to fill it with water. Dualit have designed an insulated handle so that it can be opened without having your fingers to touch the hot surface of the kettle. See photos.Would I recommend this kettle: Certainly. I love the design of the kettle. It looks so right for the purpose. This is pure emotion. The features of the kettle are really appropriate and useful.Would I buy this kettle again? Hopefully not as I would repair the heating element.Should I need another kettle, I would buy this model.

Handsome, but expensive.
This is a very handsome kettle and a big improvement on the hideous Bosch that it replaced. However for the price you are getting a pretty basic kettle. It boils water, and turns itself off when it reaches boiling point. There are no other features or functions - not that you'd want any.It boils quickly and fairly quietly. It's nicely made, but not spectacularly so.In short I think it is expensive for a fairly basic kettle, but if you want something that matches your toaster and looks good, then I would recommend this one.

Quality does come at a price - but worth it.
Beautifully designed and made kettle. While expensive, it is a quality product that will enhance any kitchen worktop, even more so with a matching Dualit toaster. Fast to boil, and more importantly QUIET, have no qualms about paying 20 times that you can buy a cheap supermarket kettle for. This has replaceable parts, so is effectively a kettle for life. One niggle is that lid is stiff to open but should ease in time as you only fill via lid, not via spout.

Gorgeous and functional
I love this kettle. It not only looks amazing it's also so much quieter than other kettles; it's easy to pour and has a good quality feel to it. I'm waiting for my matching Dualit toaster to arrive and hoping it will be as good. Best kettle I've had in over 50 years!

I am extremely disappointed with the kettle
I am extremely disappointed with the kettle. The lid is hard to open, needs a good pull. I realise this is probably for safety reasons but not a smooth lift. The kettle is made out of a thin tin/steel which means that the water is cold very quickly. With steel being so cheap, admittedly from China I am surprised the kettle is made out of a thin tin/steel. The kettle works perfectly and as there are very few gimmicks it should last longer than my other one I replaced it with. It is difficult to see how much water is in the kettle through the gauge but my kitchen is quite dark so that might not help. When you fill the kettle up you can see quite clearly the maximum level which is helpful. The kettle was quiet to begin with but now there is limescale in it it has got louder. I have the toaster from this manufacturer and am very pleased but the kettle was a big disappointment considering the price and the flimsy shell it is made out of. After half an hour you would need to boil the water again, with previous kettles from different manufacturers the water has stayed hot for at least an hour or longer.

Kein EU Stecker

I decided to buy this article over amazon.de to have an European plug and it comes with the UK plug. It's not mentioned anywhere! Could had both it 36 euros cheaper for the same product over amazon.co.uk and there I know for sure it came with the non European plug. This is second Dualit product I buy over amazon.de and the first one came with the right plug.
