Doctor Who Tardis Mug with Lid, DR87

Unlike several reveiwers of this mug (c'mon 'fess up), I BOUGHT IT FOR MYSELF!! As a matter of fact, I bought 2 so that my much suffering other half could have one as well. Now, I have to point out that I am only an adult as a direct result of my having had too many birthdays. In my mind, I'm 14 year old fan of the show and have spent £100's and £100's on 'toys' (which I prefer to call 'collectables'in front of grown-ups) since the show came back in 2005. These mugs look the part and they will keep my hot drink hot whilst I'm busy wrapped in the latest adventure. The lid will stopped my dunked biscuits from falling into the tea while I'm waiting for a gap in the programme to enable me to locate my mouth.. My poor old boyfriend has had 33 years of my belief in the Good Dr and his battles against evil, going all the way back to Tom Baker. At my time of life, I have watched since William Hartnell and while not quite as scared of the Daleks as I was, I can remember all that tat we were allowed to buy in the 60' & 70s. So I can say that this mug is the best Dr Who mug I have ever seen. The merchandise seem to genuinely be improving since 2005 and let's hope the powers that be keep it that way. I just hope my army of Daleks don't destroy the mug too quickly.

This is a great mug not too small - which I was woried about!! all four sides are painted / designed - another thing I was worried abouut ascsomeonline fakes have only 3 sides done so I was worried.On the other hand im pretty sure that it's the real thing (it came in the official packaging aswell! ) and slightly cheaper the official one is 19.99 and like 3 for pnp so 22 odd you should buy this its great it came in 4 days even thou it says itll be here in a week - but most of my stuff comes earlier then it says anyway haha. Look wise the colours are nice and its very cool with a lid which is so cool, well I think it is :D No regrets its lovely and highly recommended buying here!! - YOU WONT REGRET!! :D xx

I bought this as a gift for a grown-up Dr Who fan. I was a little dubious about the shape, but went with it following the other comments on this page. The new owner reports that it is usable, although does feel a little strange drinking from the corner. If you couldn't get used to it, it will make a very attractive pen pot, so don't be put off! It looks great and really is good quality. Someone posted that it's only decorated on 3 sides, but that's incorrect (certainly now) as the one I ordered is decorated on all 4 sides as you would expect. I worried that it might feel or look cheap, but it is neither and both myself and the recipient are very pleased with the finish.

Well executed and fine mug, a few very very very minor little color/coating smudges but nothing to get too fussy about, really. The lid is practical and keeps the tea hot and actually looks good, too. It is a perfect present for a Doctor-fan and we gave it as a birthday present to our daughter who loves using it. It is also quite decorative and could be used for storing cookies or little sweets too (as it is so wide). Packaging and delivery were great, too. Absolutely delighted about the purchase.

I purchased this as a gift for my partner and he was very pleased with it, although we are both disappointed with the following aspects: 1) It is rather too large and would be a lot more practical if it was a little more averagely sized for a drinking vessel. Also, the inside is square, like the outside, which makes it a little difficult to drink out of with great accuracy. I realise that a lot of people will buy it just for novelty value, but as it is sold as a mug, I do expect it to serve as such. 2) The box does not state that it is dishwasher (or microwave) safe, so it is a bit of a pain having to hand wash it separately. I also feel that although the lid finishes the image of the tardis off nicely, there is no actually practical use for it really, so the lid tends to sit in the cupboard while the cup is being used. The mug does have good detail and looks very authentic and any doctor who fan would be proud to use it I would imagine.

This mug, is beyond all doubt, one of the best items of crockery I have ever purchased. It works brilliantly, Its painted beautifully. It functions well, and is great to look at. the only complaint is that it is harder to drink out of a square mug than you would think... But lets face it, If it was round, it wouldn't be half as good!! The lid is also very nice, but can be awkward to clean!! PS: ive been using it for 3 months now, and its fine in the dishwasher.

I bought this for my daughter who is just nutty about Dr Who. She loves it. It is very well made and solid. The lid of the Tardis is so cute too and keeps the drinks warm. It makes a great gift for any mad Dr Who fan. As my daughter says, its a TARDIS, whats not to like. Her only groan was, "Its a pity its not bigger on the inside". Jaxie

Nice, big and heavy mug for drinking your morning brew. Pain in the bum to wash as your hand is too big to get into it to clean the nooks and crannies, unless you have small children to order about! The lid keeps your favourite beverage nice and hot for a decent length of time, however unlike the real tardis, there is not a never-ending supply or tea or coffee which i found to be a bit of a cheat!! (Damn you space time continuum!!!) Luckily no Daleks, Cybermen, Xmas Psychotic Santas, showed up to destroy me while using it.

I'm a huge Dr Who fan and this makes a great addition to my collection, love the detail.

El acabado es perfecto y no vino con ningún error ni roturas. Perfectamente embalada y protegida para el viaje. Como taza es algo aparatosa ya que es grandecilla, pero se puede usar así desde luego o como simple objeto de decoración. Bought this as a gift for my son and he absolutely loved it. It’s sturdy and a lovely deep color. He hasn’t used it yet though.
