Pro-Art Mediums Golden Soft Gloss Gel Medium-8 oz

This is fantastic quality,I’ve been using it for the scribble art that Jane Davies shows in one of her Tutorials and it works a treat and such fun to do as well as looking Fab on my Abstract Art,Thank you Golden ,your products are superb.

Perfect to create a transparent layer - ideal to use before putting masking tape because it helps avoiding the paint going under the tape. I also use it as a separation layer before varnishing. Cheap and does the job very well.

First time using this product and first time glazing.. what a difference it makes!! Fantastic results and easy to use!

good product, just what I need.

It's tricky to review this item as it's the first time I've ever used it and have nothing to compare it to. That said it's done what I wanted it to and I'm very happy with it on that level.I purchased the Golden Soft Gel Gloss to use as an isolation coat for a couple of canvas paintings I've completed with acrylics. For those unaware, this is to act as a protective barrier prior to the application of varnish(es). It was tricky knowing how much to dilute for the canvas area required but once diluted (2 parts gloss to 1 part water) and applied (I used a 3" Hake brush) it dried evenly with a pleasant glossy sheen. My subsequent varnish applications also went on well without too many issues.Overall I'm very happy with this for the purpose I needed it. For anyone like myself doing this for the first time, you may wish to do a trial run first to get a feel for how to mix (not too vigorously) and apply it (reasonably quickly and evenly).

Love this stuff as it definately gives more texture to my acrylic paintings. I did originally think it was expensive but it is t as you don't need much. Love it.

Perfect for sticking paper and also as a gloss. Also as a medium where definition is needed. You can use colour in it so you could make blue/green waves to represent movement on water, for example.

I used this as a protective layer under varnish, over an acrylic painting. It looks milky until it dries and then it is clear and glossy. Exactly what I wanted. Recommended.

I'm using this to paint using the same pigments that I use in my resin art (all insoluble powders, mostly mica), letting my use the same pigments for all of my art. Golden is an A++ brand.

I made transparent images by brushing this product over the top of paper pictures, wetting them when the product was dry and brushing off the wet paper backing with my fingers. The transparent results were then added to cards, but they can also be used as "decals" on most surfaces with the addition of glue.

Have used this product for years. A good general medium and glue for most art work. LoveGolden products ...... they are the best
