TL;DR it's great you should get one.
Absolutely fantastic USB SNES controller! The responsiveness is perfect and tight, the coloured buttons and are nicely rounded on top and not too sharp like a lot of others I've tried. The general build is as solid as it needs to be, no play or flex in the plastic even when pressing quite hard. The D-Pad is great, nice central dip and not much wiggle in it's place, again very responsive and not one instance of ghost inputs even when trying to speedrun. The Start and Select buttons have a nice 'fleshy plastic' feel to them very similar to the original. The Turbo and Clear buttons are easy to use and program as quickly as you could want them to while still playing smoothly, I've used them twice during play so you may find it different but they seem absolutely fine. Definitely the best USB controller I've purchased out of about 5 different types. If it ever goes wrong I doubt I'll ever even consider buying anything different. I highly recommend and hope this helps anyone unsure if they should get it, you won't be disappointed.

The best USB snes controller there is
This is the best USB snes controller on the market. Perfect if you're retro gaming on your Windows PC is raspberry pi. The buttons are responsive and satisfying and the build quality is superb. Seriously don't waste your time and money offering a cheaper USB controller. Sure you can get 2 of them for the price of this one but they aren't worth it, they are unresponsive clunky and with mushy buttons and simply not good enough for some games. The response time on the cheaper controllers is so poor you'll die more than me attempting to play Dark Souls. Buy this one now!

Works great with Raspberry Pi
I bought this to use as a games controller for my Raspberry Pi, running the Retropie emulations. As soon as the Pi was switched on and Retropie loaded, it picked up the new controller and automatically went into the configuration screen. Setting up was simple - just followed the prompts for each button. Works perfectly for those retro games, giving it a real nostalgic feel. The only complaint from me would be that the cable could do with being a longer. if it was double the length that would be excellent as I don't like to sit that close to the TV when gaming, and although I only live in a small terrace, it's still not long enough to reach across the room. However, that's just a personal niggle Apart from that, it's exactly what I wanted.

Just what I wanted
I bought these to play retro games on my Raspberry Pi 3 (check out RetroPie if you grew up playing older consoles and computers). They were just what I wanted and I'm delighted with them. They're easy to use, robust, responsive and do what they say on the tin. Heartily recommended.

Great
Good gamepad, it feels great in my hands. Been using it to play SNES and DS games (exact same control scheme) and I've enjoyed every second of it.

This is what you're looking for, don't go for a cheap rip-off
Very happy with this. I find it is better than my Xbox-360 controller for retro games that use a d-pad. It seems pretty faithful to the original SNES controller, although I don't have one to compare it to (I had a Mega Drive when I was growing up, not a SNES!).

Needed a good d-pad, got a good d-pad
Needed a good d-pad, got a good d-pad. Not tried any others like this so I can't offer any comparisons but it is far better than my xbox 360 d-pad. Rest of the pad is good as well, it has a 1.8 meter cable.

It IS a Super Nintendo controller.
The action on the D Pad is first class, way beyond anything offered by the Playstation or Xbox's standard controllers, I've noticed immediate improvements in reaction times versus said controllers and actively seek to use it INSTEAD of Playstation and Xbox pads whenever possible on my PC. It's no frills. Obviously it lacks the dual analog controls of most controllers today so it isn't good for anything but retro and faux-retro gaming, but it's almost unbeatable for what it is, and what it costs. If you loved the Super Nintendo you'll love this.

I've owned this controller for over 2 years now and it still works flawlessly. I've used it for emulation and for Steam games when we needed an extra controller for a fourth player and whatnot. The d-pad is the best out of every controller I own (I also have gamecube, x360, and n64 controllers) and I've used it for very directional-input-critical games like the classic Castlevanias. I've probably used it for more than 150 hours at this point (a lot of that thanks to an FF6 playthrough) and it has never developed any input issues. My only complaint would be that, as time has gone on, the d-pad (and the buttons to a small extent) have become less clicky/more mushy, but I would chalk that up to breaking the controller in over anything. As for its authenticity, I'm not really qualified to compare it to an original SNES controller, since I've used one maybe once in my life for about 5 minutes. What I can say is that this controller works incredibly well for playing SNES games, as well as most 2d games that don't need more than 8 buttons + directions, so even if it's not "authentic to the original" or whatever (which I wouldn't really know) it definitely does what it needs to do exceptionally well. I should note that, as I remember, I bought 2 of these at CDN$15-20 per controller. Since they've been discontinued, the price has dramatically shot up, and while I'd still consider them to be worth it, you aren't quite getting the bargain that these controllers once were anymore. If I was going to spend $60 on a controller, I might instead consider the 8bitdo SN30, which trades d-pad quality for increased versatility (it's probably the only controller you'd ever need for emulation, whereas this one will only take you as far as the 4th and early 5th generations).

I bought this on the advice of several friends, and if you're looking to play SNES on your PC, this is the way to go.

Es un control muy responsivo, pero no es tan parecido al control original, pasa que el D-pad es de hecho más elástico.

This is the best inexpensive SNES-style USB controller that I have found. Is it as good as an original SNES controller? No. The buttons are not as perfect as an original SNES controller, and it's a little lighter. Some reviewers have complained of "ghost D-pad inputs," and I have experienced that before. So, again, it's not a perfect controller! But, it is good for the price and overall good enough. Just please don't expect perfection, and you'll likely be satisfied...I'm actually not sure where exactly you could get a "perfect" SNES USB controller, short of getting an adapter and using an original SNES controller. Since it's the best value I've found, I still give it 5 stars. This is my default controller for RetroPie. Now, you might be comparing the two "Buffalo Classic USB" controllers offered on Amazon (as of late June 2017) and wondering what the heck the difference is between the BSGP815 (this product listing) and the older BSGP801 ( Buffalo iBuffalo Classic USB Gamepad for PC BSGP801GY ). I own them both. > Size/shape: As far as I can tell, they're the same size, shape, and roughly the same color. The gray is a little grayer on the 815 and the gray is a little whiter on the 801, but I'm not sure which one more faithfully matches the official SNES color. The cord on the 815 is a few inches longer, but they both have decently long cords. I'm estimating, but maybe ~6 feet (72 inches) for 801 and ~6.5 feet (78 inches) for 815. > Feel: They are very similar. The 801 is a little "louder" when you press the XYAB buttons versus the 815. That may convey a better feel along with the haptic (sound) feedback, perhaps? Hard for me to definitively tell. Performance difference? Also hard for me to definitively tell. If you want a quieter controller, though, it's the 815. > Compatibility: The 815 is officially compatible with newer operating systems (Windows 10/8/7/Vista/XP/2000/Me) and the 801 is officially compatible with only Windows 7/Vista/XP/2000/Me. I have not tested all of these, so I don't know if it's true. > Writing on them: The model numbers are on the back of each model, and the 801 says "iBuffalo" on the front whereas the 815 only says "Buffalo." I've included a picture of both controllers. > Turbo/clear: I don't really use them, but to enable auto-fire for a particular button, you hold "turbo" and push and release a particular button. That particular button will now auto-fire when held down. To clear a particular button, use the same method except hold "clear" instead of "turbo." So, again, just don't expect perfect "SNES feel" and you will be pleased with these--especially if you have tried some of the other poor-performing USB controllers. The only sort of addendum to all of this is there is a bluetooth wireless SNES USB controller that seems to have very good reviews. I have not tried it, but it is worth a look: 8bitdo SNES30 Wireless Bluetooth Controller Dual Classic Joystick for IOS / Android Gamepad - PC Mac Linux (Note it's roughly double the price of the Buffalo controllers as of this writing, and all wireless controllers inherently have yet another variable to contend with: wireless signal issues!) Hope some of this helps! Very happy gaming to you!

The gamepad works like a Super Nintendo controller. When you use it on an emulator on the pc/laptop, it works perfectly. I highly recommend it.
