I actually bought these for my dad. He can’t hold onto stuff that is thin. The handles are made thick and he can grip these. I recommend these for anybody that has trouble with their hands. They’re very nice.

These utensils work great - especially for arthritic hands. So much easier to grip. I have both these and the oxo good grips. Both have a similar feel - soft/rubbery/easy grip. Oxo's feel slightly heavier. Oxo base more tapered. Oxo seems to have a different material where utensil enters black base. Oxo's knife not as sharp as this adaptive set. Adaptive knife easier to use, but showing signs of rust. I have washed these in dishwasher many times. Only knife seems to have some rust stains at base of blade. Perhaps junction where utensil enters base is not as tight/waterproof as it needs to be? Blade does not feel loose. Will need to hand wash knife from now on.

I have a 90 year old friend who has trouble eating with regular silverware - hard to get a good grip on fork or spoon so she spills a lot. These are easier for her to use, both when scooping, and when eating. We have enough to deal with growing older, eating should not be one of them Just a little something that makes life a little easier.

These work very well for my husband who has a problem with his grip. They are well made and dishwasher safe.
