wicks sweat, keeps warm. outstanding.
wicks sweat, keeps warm. outstanding. Long lasting. Only down side Is that its not as good as merino wool, I,e you wear this once and it needs washing, if you are on a ski trip for example merino wool doesn't smell if you use it two days on the Trott, this item is outstanding but not as good as merino wool. I prefer the feel to merino wool personally and I wash my clothes everyday so works great for me.

Perfect fit, comfy and warm
This top is ideal to wear as a base layer under a jacket or boiler suit at work etc.it’s well made, warm and allows freedom of movement. Not the cheapest but worth it for the quality

Good fit
Fits nice and snuggly so so bunching up and being a thin layer it helps to wear it underneath day clothes to keep the chill off and not feel bulky.

Decent bit of kit
It’s light and comfy and does the job for keeping you fresh and dry. At over 6ft6 the arms are long enough which is always a pleasant surprise and length also good. It’s definitely a sub layer. Temperature differences between my arms covered by just this and my body under a light weight cycling top was noticeable in a strong cold wind.My only issue (which is more today with my size and shape) is that while the arms are just about the right length, the body area is looser than I would like for a base layer. XL should be my size but dropping to L may sort the tightness need but would likely see me with the arms too short. If you are normal sized though, I think this would be fine if you err on the lower size option if you want it tight. All in all though I’m happy with it but will use in cool weather rather than cold.

Absolutely great!
I had the first version for more than 10 years, which I'm still using to this day for work. I find the fit of this one even better at XL (same size as the old one), which at 6'4" fits me perfectly! One issue to note are the cuffs. On the old version I was rolling up the sleeves, which made said cuffs stretch and look rather unaesthetic because the rubber fibers would just snap/ stretch, preventing them from returning to their original size. On this newer version they seem more stretchy and have a different feel, so it's possible the issue has been fixed but i'd still avoid pulling the sleeves up. Buy a T-shirt version if you need a short sleeve: simple. All in all, a superb baselayer! Dries in an instant so you can wear it right away after washing it in a stream. It's not thermal wear, It keeps the wearer both warm and cool at the same time, which is really comfortable. You will feel every gust of wind while wearing it so it will evaporate the "backpack sweat" in an instant! Highly recommended!PS. I'm not sure what other people mean when saying it's too short. The back reaches to about half my behind and the front a bit past my waistline, fully covering the belt, yet leaving a bit of room to access the pockets comfortably. And I have a relatively long back! It really fits well, just like it is shown photo's!(the previous one is in fact a bit shorter, despite being the same size.)

Perfect base layer
These have been used for years in the military and have always been top quality. I needed a new one and got this on a sale, well worth the price.

Not as good as the merino wool mix.
Bought this to replace one that had given nearly 20 years sterling service, but didn't realise this was the 100% polypropylene version ( the original had a merino wool mix and is far superior). Still a good base layer for activities like hillwalking or cycling but not a patch on the woolie for less active winter wear.
