Blue Power Carbolic Soap 110g (3.90 oz)

I am addicted to this lovely soap! I decided to buy a 'tester' bar just over a week ago...hooked from the first use! The soap is luxurious...lathers beautifully and feels very rich and creamy on my skin. It rinses off easily without leaving any residue...best of all...it leaves me feeling so CLEAN!! The scent is very redolent of the hospital smell I remember from my training days in the 70's and my whole house smells 'antiseptic'. I've already had several people ask me what I was 'wearing' and have told them about this great soap with pleasure. Of course, it wont suit everyone. It does smell quite strong. But, it is also gentle and I went two whole days without deodorant just to see if the soap's germ-killing properties were correct. They are. I didn't even whiff a little bit! Also...going to get very personal here but I feel it's worth mentioning...if you like to wash or use a bidet after going to the loo? I use this soap...and I KNOW I'm clean! Just ordered another ten bars which arrived within three days. LOVE THIS SOAP!! :))

When I first opened the packet, it wasn't too strong, but there was definitely that familiar, pungent but almost sweet "antiseptic" smell many will recognise. The bar doesn't smell overpowering during use and the scent lingers only faintly on the skin, and even then only briefly. No one has yet been able to smell it on me after perhaps an hour. It feels rich and creamy, and lathers relatively well. I have been using it to combat a skin infection, and I noticed a dramatic improvement straight after the first use. Wow, that's some antiseptic power this little bar punches! To test its germ-killing abilities even further, I wore no cologne or deodorant for several days whilst using this soap, and didn't have even the faintest hint of a pong, not even in my arm pits after a good session at the climbing-wall. To top it all off, this stuff isn't drying out my skin either. I'm currently using it to wash/shower, shave, and am even washing my hair with it. My only gripe is that as I use the soap up, I've noticed that its scent and possibly germ-killing abilities too, are beginning to diminish ever so slightly. It's still good stuff and well worth it, though. For those who are unsure - the ingredients list on the packet definitely states that this soap includes carbolic acid, so rest assured that you're getting the real deal, not "carbolic scented" soap!

Care Carbolic soap is a timeless old fashioned soap. However, it is a brilliant soap which leaves you feeling clean and refreshed all day - even on the hottest of days. It is a first class soap and I can highly recommend it for showering and bathing too.

Best real soap I've bought in a while

A true carbolic soap with a fine scent (of carbolic). Quality is excellent with the bar likely to last well despite the colour left in the sink. As a 43 year old the scent is reminiscent of school as a small child but I find it a reassuring and pleasant soap to use.

I have just received my first bar of soap.It is not so strong smelling as I recall from childhood, but very pleasant all the same. It does state on the pack that carbolic acid is one of the ingredients and I am inclined to accept this fact.I have just washed my face with it and for the first time in years my face actually feels clean and looks clean. I have very greasy skin and normal everyday soaps available in GB are useless and leave my skin feeling tight and dirty, consequently I have for several years used face wipes and these are not much better than soap but are an improvement on soap.I will be re-ordering some more of this 'Carbolic' if it feels good on my face then the rest of my body will feel clean too.It is a big bar of soap and could easily be cut in half as it is rather a handful (lol). It is very creamy and foams well, you don't need much of it, even in a hard water area.
