My nephew set it up in his car and he is very delighted about it.

Works well ( perhaps too well ) as can pick sometimes up Bluetooth over 30m away through brick walls . Therefore you may need to check Bluetooth if working from home and car parked with 20 or so metres.

Got my Buddy within 48 hours of ordering it.Nice, compact unit with detachable magnetic clip that clearly allows the unit to be "adhered" to metallic surfaces if you don't want it on your sun visor. Claims to have 1000 hours of standby time and 20 hours of talk time. Give me another 999 hours and I'll let you know!It comes with a USB charger lead which I used to charge it from my PC. No plug. We're all expected to have transformers these days aren't we - bit assumptive! I've just bought some 13A sockets for home with USB outlets on them such is the pain of moving chargers around the house.Despite what I've read in other reviews, the packaging was very easy to get into and I had the device up and paired with my iPhone 5 in under 2 seconds. I also wanted to pair it with my Nokia Windows phone which proved more of a challenge. the Buddy offers manual and auto pairing. Whilst the iPhone just auto paired virtually by itself, the Windows phone needed manual intervention but a quick look at page 2 of the manual and all was revealed. I had this simultaneously paired within about 10 seconds. No problems. Volume level seems very good.I'd read about some problems with voice distortion before buying this so left a voicemail on my iPhone using the Buddy with the Windows phone and played it back. Must say I was quite disappointed with the quality. I recorded the message in the quiet surroundings of my desk so what this will be like from the car I don't know but hope it will be okay. I just hate it when talking to someone in a car on their cheap hands free kit and struggling to hear what they say. Here's hoping this won't be so bad. I understand this product has some noise cancelling tech inside it. My past experience with noise cancelling technologies is that they often "muffle" your voice in removing some of the higher end frequencies that determine whether you can make sense of what someone is saying. Unlike some devices I know, this won't allow the noise cancellation to be suppressed.It has voice dialling which I haven't tried yet. If this performs as good as it looks I'll be happy.

Bought for myself on an Amazon discount offer. Oddly the device was £2 CHEAPER by selecting ... With Holder .... (windscreen sucker) than WITHOUT.Connected to my Moto G3 easily once I'd selected "options" and "search for devices" rather than waiting for auto search (which didn't find it). A quick test at home shows it seems to be working fine, and to be frank I don't expect otherwise from this original make (I've previously had several supermarket cheap copies and they've not been a great experience).The holder arrived 'out of sync', as in, one arm was out and one was in. Simple fix.... remove the four casing screws, peel the casing apart SLIGHTLY to make the plastic gear wheels disconnect from each other, squeeze both arms in, then screw the casing back together. With the plastic gear wheels now in-sync, press the button and BOTH arms open outwards evenly by spring action. There's also a fold out foot at the bottom to support the base of your phone whilst it's in the holder, which is a nice addition.Minimum gap between the rubber pads that squeeze your phone sides (arms fully closed) about 40mm, Maximum gap (arms wide open) about 87mm.The sucker arm is adjustable for reach (angle) and also to allow the phone to be in either Landscape or Portrait.

I normally don't write reviews as I normally do this on a daily basis as I am a quality engineer, however this product strongly deserve a high quality review. I'm not going into details to tell you how this functions as it functions very well and the information provided for this product is well detailed and accurate. This product like described is fantasic in volume supplying you with a clean crisp sound and clarity. For the price this outstripped other products that are in a higher price range and are sold with less quality. Ok now the drawbacks, the LEDs on the unit cannot be seen in daylight, thus in the manual it states when orange its is charging but this is more like red and green LEDs, that is if you can see them during the day. Also as others have commented on the USB port is on the back, this makes it impossible to connect a USB cable while the unit is fixed onto your sun visor. I am sure with a bit of thought and engineering a magnetic extension could be made so access to the USB port, and make connecting power constant possible, however this could up set the stability as this would not be flush with the viser, also probably no point due to the 1000 hours standby and the acceptable talk time. Drawbacks in mind, this is a small price to pay for this high quality product that will serve all your needs a efficiently and with safety while you're driving. Consider this if you crash your car the outcome can be catastrophic if not very expensive, also there are the lives of others to take into consideration. When you purchase your phone I'm sure quality is in mind why not add to this with this fantastic accessory that can help save lives as well as boost accessibility of your phone. Also if you're a business man this can serve well call conference calling more likely better than the phone can do. So its worth popping in your pocket and taking it with you, just remember to turn it off in proximity of the unit when not wanted. I highly recommend this product 100 percent, purchase and enjoy.
