light use
I start with the manual. Its there, and it explains some codes and how to set the scanner. Its lacking any information about the manufacturer, no CE or UK CA mark, no standards nothing. Only a sticker on the box has some of this information. Keep the sticker ... That excludes basically professional use. This light impression goes on in the build. Everything lighweight, no point convincing anything is solid enough to withstand professional use for longer. The base has two holes for screwing down if that is wanted. But one hole is covered with a name label, sticked on and not easy to remove to get access to the screw hole. The pole is a certain type of metal tube made form bended and twisted thin metal, it is quite stiff and needs some force to bend. At its ends are plastic heads, which have flat sides, which allows mounting in the base plate and the holder in only two directions. Awkward. The way its mounted in the base plate with the screw is so weak, I can see something broken after a short time putting the scanner in/out often or bending the pole a few times. (hold the pole at one end and bend at the other, not hold the base or head). The holder is obviously made for tiny Asian hands, not my pranks. I can place the scanner only with my fingers holding it into the stand, not grip around, space far too small. Pressing the button of the scanner I thought I did something wrong, it feels like stuck (but isnt), so no quality impression here either. When I look at the cable, its not only ugly gray, it is an Ethernet to USB A, it is unsuitable thick and short too. Just from computer on the floor to table if both are on the same place. Thats not suitable for work environment. I wonder if they could add two connectors, one USB and the other Ethernet on both sides, which cost only small money, so extension cables could be fixed easy. But that may blow the low cost idea... Hold on, its actually not cheap. For my little amount of use it will do the the job, but for daily professional use look for something much more solid. Technicals: I have to test that later, and I hope thats not so lightweight.

Plug and Play under Windows 10.
The '2D Barcode Scanner, Eyoyo, QR Barcode Reader, with Screen Scanning, Wired with USB Cable' arrived in a plain box that also contained a User Manual. This is a lightweight wired hand scanner that when I plugged it into my Windows 10 PC it was automatically detected. I measured the distance from the scanner to a barcode and it worked in most case at distances up to 30cm. Any barcode detected by the scanner is pasted to the current cursor location if it is a writable field, There were no issues with scanning either 2D barcodes or QR codes during the many tests I performed. This scanner is handy to have for product manuals that only provide QR codes rather than a full URL.

Plugged and Played
We use bar code scanners a lot in our factory and I thought I'd check this unit out to see if it would be a suitable replacement for our current supplier. I gave it to our IT team and after some guffawing and scepticism they put it together and gave it a test. They were gobsmacked! It connects with a RJ45 network to USB cable and when plugged into a laptop with the necessary software it saw the scanner straightaway and it was ready to use. No issues with scanning various bar codes, it accurately reported the EAN number each time and even when scanned multiple times simultaneously it still gave accurate results. The build quality of the scanner is good, lighter than our current units but it feels solid. The trigger to fire the scan is positive and it feels like it will not break after repeated use. The stand needs to be assembled before use which is relatively simple. It holds the handset well and is pretty stable. Verdict: No real issues to put our IT bods off this scanner. Connected straightaway and reported the right codes. Price is competitive versus our current brand. Would recommend as a good buy.

Seems Lightweight For Commercial Use.
The scanner comes with a stand, a USB cable and a manual. The manual is fairly succinct so I screen-grabbed the information on the product page so I could make a print out of the relevant information. The scanner itself seems strong and well-built. The gooseneck is adjustable but needs quite some pressure to bend it to where you want it. The trigger is positive and easy to use. The scanner feels comfortable in the hand. The plastic stand feels flimsy and the screw connector feels that it won't be long-lasting. The cable is a short Ethernet to USB-A so your computer will need to be very close by. This shows in the product photographs but it is easily overlooked when reading the product description. The scanner reads accurately and quickly, both barcodes and QR. Set up is very simple and quick. I feel there are more reasonably priced scanners that do what this scanner offers. The lower quality of the stand put me off. For light, non-commercial service, such as I need, the scanner works very well and will be a help.

Literally Plug & Play - Works Like A Charm
Note that I tested this on Windows and this is the wired version Once you insert the RJ45 end of the USB cable into the scanner, then plug into a USB port, you're good to go. Windows detects this as a HIB USB Interface Device and is ready in seconds. It works perfectly. Tested in Excel and a small little Python script I wrote. • Scanning a 1D, standard barcode, it captures the numeric format of the code and inserts into a cell. • Scanning a QR / 2D code, it captures whatever the QR code contains and inserts the value into the cell. As an example, a web-address. I discovered while writing a Python script, what I needed to tweak to ensure I had no issues. As this is designed for POS, the software logic will do the following: • Attempt to scan the code • Upon successful capture, make audible beep, then "type" the output (say in Excel) into a cell, then proceed to next cell. • So, using Access as another example, it will treat the scanning process as entering the value and then proceed to next input - This is ideal for POS / anyone who just wants to beep away, without having to manually forcing the next input request. As I'm very happy with the device itself and for my usage, it won't be running a business, etc. It will be casual scanning. But note, the base it comes with is very flimsy. • The bendable metal adjustment is quite stiff. • The plastic base, screw attachment, etc. is brittle and flimsy. • So as a combination, I can see the base shattering quite easily. Also note: • The USB to RJ45 connector is quite durable • But once you insert the RJ45 connector, you're going to have trouble removing it - Great for security though. Yes, I certainly recommend the device. Just be aware that if you choose to mount to the stand, that stand will probably eventually break.

Easy to use, Lots of connection method. Seems reliable
This scanner is truly Plug & Play. It emulates a keyboard. When it scans a barcode or QR code, it simply sends the decoded text to the computer, followed by the ENTER key. As such, it is compatible with virtually every POS system on the market. I tested the various connection methods, and they all worked fine. The USB receiver has a range of over 10 meters. The Bluetooth connection was limited to about 3 meters from my computer, but it connected quickly, and I didn’t experience any disconnections. Similarly, the USB cable functioned flawlessly. One thing to note is that you will need the user manual to switch between the different wireless connection modes. The scanner actually supports three Bluetooth modes in addition to the 2.4GHz receiver. To switch between them, you must scan specific QR codes in the manual. The scanner is very lightweight, yet it still feels solid. It has an integrated speaker and a vibration motor to provide feedback. The included cable is a standard USB A-to-B, which is a great choice since these cables are easy to replace. I have other barcode scanners that use proprietary cables, and those are much more difficult to deal with. This scanner uses a bright white light to illuminate the barcode, which works well. Additionally, it provides a guide to know where to aim. The detection distance ranges from 3 cm to 16 cm (1.18” to 6.3”). Battery life is good. Obviously, it depends on usage, but I was able to go a full week without charging. Overall, it’s a great scanner. The only thing missing is a continuous scanning mode and a stand

Mine didn’t work
Price at time of review $59.99 So the item didn’t work upon arrival.. charged it and tried connecting it to my smart phone and nothing happened. I followed pairing instructions in the booklet that came in the packaging and haven’t been able to use it.. maybe I got one from a bad batch? Sadly is of no use to me since it doesn’t work :(

Great for collectors
This is a great item for collectors. Use it scan in and catalog all your collectable items. Great for identifying and verifying items at swap meets and secondhand shops. Can give you some extra information which might be instrumental in avoiding spending your hard earned cash on dodgy items. Works well so far, no complaints there, but fit and finish wise it could be a bit better made. All in all I'm glad I have it. Try not to drive your family nuts by scanning everything in sight. In other words please scan responsively.

Reliable and Versatile Barcode Scanner
This barcode scanner is easy to use, lightweight, and works well for scanning both barcodes and QR codes. It connects via Bluetooth, USB, or a wireless receiver, making it compatible with various devices. Setup is simple, though switching between modes requires scanning specific codes in the manual. The scanning speed is quick, and it reads different barcode types accurately. The built-in battery lasts a long time between charges, which is useful for frequent scanning. The wireless range is decent, though Bluetooth connectivity is more limited compared to the included USB receiver. It would be even better with a stand for hands-free use and an automatic continuous scan mode. Overall, it's a solid choice for inventory, libraries, or personal collections.

This is a nice barcode scanner.
The tool is very nice and the design is so sci-fi. The capability of this tool is magnificient. I actually integrated it into my net store and it seems to work as intended. My only complaint is that the barcode scanner uses a rather small battery and if you forget to turn it off, the next day you will need to charge the battery before using it.
