Product Description Integrated CD Player Housed in an acoustically tuned wooden cabinet. Product Description Following on from the Roberts Sound100, Roberts has introduced the Blutune100. The Blutune100 has a large number of features. It is fully Bluetooth compatible allowing wireless connection from all of your Bluetooth compatible devices, from smartphones to tablets, meaning you can stream your music collection wirelessely. It is a beautiful acoustically tuned wooden cabinet and a multifunctional sound system. It also has a CD player that plays WMA/MP3 files. It offers excellent acoustics and the 6 position graphic equaliser with separate bass and treble gives you extra control. Bluetooth Explained The Bluetooth mode on your Sound System allows you to play audio files and stream music from Bluetooth capable devices such as your mobile phone, computer, tablet etc. through your stereo's loudspeakers. 'Bluetooth pairing' occurs when two Bluetooth enabled devices agree to establish a connection and communicate with each other. What is DAB Radio? DAB stands for Digital Audio Broadcasting - a way of broadcasting radio digitally via a network of transmitters. It provides listeners with more choice, digital sound quality and more information. Because of the way DAB technology works, broadcasters can transmit many more stations than ever before. Listeners in most major towns and cities in the UK can receive between 30 and 50 radio stations with a digital radio, in many cases that's more than double what's available on analogue. Because digital radio uses the spectrum more efficiently than analogue, it is possible to broadcast more channels using the same frequency, making room for broadcasters to expand their station portfolios. Looks great, sounds great, not a lot of bad!
Beautiful sound, clear radio, no problems at all connecting to Bluetooth. I am extremely picky when it comes to speakers and have compared these to a few brands before deciding this was the kit for me. I also love it's looks, and if the description is to be believed, the wood shell helps to add to the sound stage. The sound that is produced from these is warm and smooth, and fills the room effortlessly. It sounds beautiful from the lowest volume to... well let's say about mid volume. I have read reviews saying this piece of kit is quiet, and believe me it isn't! And I can't comment on the max volumes as playing it at volume 18 of (I think 30) is enough to make the floors rumble.Sadly there are a couple of negatives for me. Firstly while you can change the LCD display brightness on standby, there is a constant blue light on the front face which might be a bit disturbing to some people while trying to sleep. I have gotten used to this but my partner hates it. The only other negative for me is that while you can connect the Roberts blutune to your phone, you can't select a song as an alarm. To some this may be a problem, however to others maybe not. Thanks to the digital radio, there are plenty of stations to wake up to in the morning to suit most peoples tastes - and if not I do have a solution... Leave your phone on and connected to your blutune, and use the alarm on that, with your selected track (not possible really with iPhone from what I can remember from owning one, but most androids this is a sort of solution) and your phones alarm will play through the blutune. This is by no means an ideal solution, but it's the best I have found myself! Finally, the controller. It is designed to be used horizontally, which is no problem when you're used to it. Some have stated that the design and lack of buttons make it hard to navigate, but I can say that after using mine for the last 7 months I can use it with ease, and have done from about month 2.I love the blutune 100, and although it does have a couple of flaws I would happily buy another in the future if I had the need.

This is how to do PRESETS
There are over 200 reviews on here saying how good this Roberts is. I agree with all the comments about great sound and choice of DAB, DAB+,CD,FM and wonderful BLUTOOTH. This is my third Roberts after Sound53 and Sound200. The only problem I have had (apart from finding it is not black like my previous, despite the description!) is setting up PRESETS. So important with this latest one as I have over 100 stations with DAB and DAB+. So for anybody else who has this problem this is how to do it (because the manual is not right/clear) -To Save1. Select station2. Hold PRESET down for a few seconds (until PRESET STORE appears on screen).3. Use arrows to select an empty preset.4. A quick press of the PRESET button stores it in the selected slot (note quick press this time). To recall a preset station1. Turn either DAB or FM radio on.2. Quick press on the PRESET button.3. Use the arrow keys to select the desired preset. An excellent piece of equipment which sounds even better than my two previous models. I don't need/use sd cards for music so won't miss that...... Just would have preferred black :-)

Gorgeous build quality, easy to use, but far too much bass
This does look beautiful but there's far too much bass. I can't even play relatively quiet music without hearing the thumping noise all through the house, which I feel is antisocial for my neighbours (and not really to my taste). If there's some way of adjusting this, I've been unable to find it, and I'm usually relatively good at finding and changing settings on things. On the positive side, it's really easy to use all of the different functions. I was so happy to find something with a relatively small footprint that looks so aesthetically pleasing and has both a CD player (surprisingly or unsurprisingly rare to find these days) as well as DAB radio. I like the interface, which is in a kind of glowing white/blue against a black background, and I like the clock, which stays on even when the music player is off (unless obviously it's turned off at the mains).Ultimately, I do like it and it's great for radio, but I'm not happy with the audio. This may be personal taste but that's my reaction. In every other respect it's really great quality but the bass spoils it for me completely.

Who needs Bose?!
I'd wanted a Bose for around 15 years, but never had the "spare" £500+ ..... Christmas is here and so are my Christmas CD's, but nothing in the house to play them on and still no "spare" £500, so.........I did some research and ALOT of people recommended Roberts with alot saying they're better/the same quality as Bose and they are absolutely right and for less than half the price! Super-duper happy with this product!

Excellent DAB sound
I bought this to replace an older version that was beginning to look tatty in our nice new kitchen. It workd just a well as the original but the blue tooth means I no longer need to attach my phone to get My music. The Dab audio is very very good but I had difficulty getting it to receive anything out of the box until I when into settings and did a restart. The only disappointment is that I could have afforded the more expensive Bluetune 200 it I had waited 3 weeks as the price came down to almost equal to the discounted price I paid for the 100 version. Still I dont mind as I do not need the record feature which is really the only functional difference between the bluetune 100 and 200.

Looks beautiful on display
Bought this for the other half and she was over the moon. The sound quality is great and far superior to Roberts Revival RD60 that she loved. There is a lot of bass available, but this can be turned down if too boomy for neighbours.Had to reset the DAB tuner to get stations, but this is shown in the instruction book and was simple to do.
