Excellent Value - Very Good Tool
Firstly, my review is based upon the fact that I bought this on a Black Friday sale so the price was around £35 not the £45 or so at full price. That being said I would still maintain that at full price its worth a look if you want a power file. At the price I paid, it really is a steal. Now, Evolution are a British company that as far as I can see design and import stuff made in China. Some is definitely badge marketed stuff and other stuff seems to be Evolution only. I had a look on Amazon and I think this can be bought under different brand names - Katsu - 'cough,' for slightly less. The colour is different so maybe if you want to co-ordinate your workshop that might be a factor. However, for most of us after ten minutes our power tools look half beat up anyway so colour isn't a factor. Now, about a million years ago when I was young I bought a Black and Decker power file. It had been advertised on TV and I latched onto it. Turned out to be a bit rubbish really but I did like the usefulness of it.So, having spotted this at a great price I bought it.And to be honest, its surprisingly good. What is very eye opening is that the quality is much better than the price suggests - always a bonus. It has enough heft to feel good and solid in the hand but not so heavy that you end up giving yourself a hernia using it.In use it's quiet - very quiet - and that is to be much appreciated in this noisy world of ours. It is variable speed which I guess might have some uses although to be honest I can't recall ever having used a power tool on low speed apart from a router in a bench with a wide bit. I doubt that I'll ever put this on slow speed.I used this on a steel box section to take off the sharp edges after cutting it and it took me but a few seconds. Very impressed. You can use both sides of the power file as there is a running plate on both. This gives you a few more options in a tight space. And of course you can angle the power file to suit the job. Can't think I'll do it very much but I guess its a nice to have. And as part of the package you get another powerfile head to give you different radii.Overall very good tool, well made, quiet and at the price I paid exceptional value.

Good sander and good value for the money

Nice tool
Good selection of belts supplied. Works pretty well. Easy belt change and adjustment. Not as powerful as I expected for the wattage, it slows down somewhat without a lot of pressure but does get the job done, just not as quickly as one might expect from a belt type sander. Other lower wattage models may sell be less efficient.

Great little sander
I regularly work in wood and this little sander is just what I needed to get into small hard to reach areas. It was easy to set up and easy to use. The angle can be changed which help with areas that are difficult to sand. The sanding bands last for ages and it comes with several, including different grades. It is easy to change the sanding band when it wears out. Using this piece of kit requires a light touch to ensure that it does not cut grooves into the wood because it sands so effectively.

Handy tool
I think this is an excellent tool for the money. I already own a powerfile but couldn’t find it for a job where it was exactly the right tool needed so I looked it up and seen it was relatively cheap. Compared to my old one this is better quality and performance all round

Quality piece of kit
Updated my old b&d power file to a new b&d power file which vibrated more than the old one. So I saw this & thought I would try it . I wasn't disappointed in any way & knew this was the item that I should have bought straight away . It's smooth & operates with minimal vibration at any speed. A nice tool to use. The file isn't very long, but its adjustability make this somewhat insignificant for the most part.

Evolution precision sander
Works OK and is useful in tight spaces but is only limited to its own size 13mm in this space and larger .The belts ripe the wood away but are easily dislodged off the running collar but otherwise it is well made with spare motor brushes in the pack.
