My hair is roughly level 6-7, i need an ash to decrease red/brass though there is only level 9A, would that work to go slightly lighter?

This product suits me well it I have grey/light browntree hair, cannot really say how it would work here. Try a test on a bit of inconspicuous hair.

I am naturally blonde but have dark roots, would this shade be OK for me?

You have to remember that this is a permanent hair day so it will cover your dark roots. No matter what dye you use, roots will come through so you have to keep on top of it. I like this product as it is easy to use.

Why does the Light Ash Blonde initially turn my hair grey?

I think because it is an Ash Blonde it will have a more greyish tone. I use the colour 10N which is a bit more golden.

I have light redish browny colour hair will this cover and what colour would my hair go?

When I used this,my hair was a reddish light brown which I hated ,this worked well to give an all over much darker block colour.Make sure you leave it on for the full time suggested.
