Infini Oud by Maison Alhambra for Unisex - 3.4 oz EDP Spray

I bought Maison Alhambra Infini Oud expecting a budget friendly alternative to Initio’s Oud for Greatness, and it didn’t disappoint! The fragrance opens with a warm, spicy mix of saffron, nutmeg, and lavender, transitioning into a rich oud and patchouli heart. The dry down is musky and woody, with a creamy oud that lingers nicely. It lasts about 7-8 hours on my skin with decent projection for the first 3-4 hours, leaving a subtle trail.The packaging is a standout elegant, heavy bottle in a velvet-lined box that feels way more luxurious than the ~$30 price tag. The atomizer is smooth and distributes evenly. My only gripe is a slight synthetic edge in the opening, which softens after macerating for a few weeks. It’s not as refined as the original, but for the price, it’s a steal. Perfect for oud lovers or anyone wanting a bold, exotic scent for cooler weather. I’d repurchase!

I don't have any enlightening words to impart regarding this fragrance. I previously had a bottle of "Lattafa - Oud For Glory" and I think I got ripped off on that one, there's no way an 80ml bottle of fragrance runs out in 3 months of sporadic use. But these makers with their blacked out bottles...you never know what you're getting. It was a great fragrance, but horrible seller. Took a 6 month break from the fragrance just from negative feelings due to the experience. So I thought I'd go with a different clone this time and also purchase from a reputable seller on Amazon...not some shady middle-eastern website. "Infini Oud" has all of the great aspects of the original fragrance by Initio, just without the ridiculous cost. Projects quite nicely, lasts for more than 7 hours also. Even as a skin-scent (after 5 hours) it still radiates a good 6-12in off of the skin a leaves a nice trail. I'm glad I bought this version of the original, it outperforms "Oud for Glory" and has a stronger scent profile as the nutmeg and saffron are stronger in this version of the DNA. Thankfully, the synthetic oud is not pumped up and it has a nice creamy drydown while maintaining a strong bright top and mid phase. I will definitely rebuy this when it runs out. However, if it runs out faster than expected...I will take apart the next bottle and verify that I'm actually buying 3.4oz of fragrance and pursue a refund/public smear campaign if they wind up being crooks.

I've held off writing a review because at first, I couldn't figure out whether I really liked this fragrance, or really disliked it. First off, though, I have to mention the packaging. I was surprised when I opened the brown cardboard shipping box to find another box, like a fine jewelry box, velvet-lined, with a plexiglass window, and the bottle itself; impressively heavy - even the cap is quite heavy. One would expect such packaging with a luxury fragrance; not one for less than $30. The first spray was an unexpected blast, that made me catch my breath - almost suffocating. This is very complex, and very masculine. It's deep, dark, and bold, and somehow manages to smell both modern, and ancient at the same time. The saffron, lavender, and nutmeg, add a sweet spicy fuzz on top of the incredible darkness of oud, patchouli, and musk. At first, I thought I can't imagine ever wearing this, but I keep coming back and spraying it on myself, and every time I spray it, I like it more and more. What was at first a dislike, has become an appreciation of this unique masterpiece.

This completely matches the notes of oud for greatness, but like I said about their clone of black orchid, this does not have the same richness as oud for greatness. It also fades fast and has no sillage. I spray 15 sprays before I actually feel like I'll get any lasting power from it. I would recommend afnan supremacy in oud instead. That one won't have the exact notes, but at least you can get the 5 Oz bottle of extrait and it'll actually last and be more resinous.
