May be a bit chunky for the latest Tvs.
Used to have a surround system but got annoyed with the cables and having speakers all round the room. The sub is connected via wireless and for the price (bought 18 months ago) I am extremely pleased. Works as well as the surround sound system did without the mess and is thoughrolly loud enough to annoy my neighbours. Also has Bluetooth so can play music from my phone through it. Will be out of date by now so any left should be a real bargain. PS I have it connected to the TV via an optical cable, could use the Bluetooth functionality but the cable gives better sound with no interference or dropouts. Highly recommend this LG sound bar at the price I paid 18 months ago, should be cheaper now and if it is it will be a steal.

Great Soundbar with Woofer box not shown in the picture here
I have this connected via LG sound sync to my LG tv. Sound is very good and am very happy. However one thing I don't think LG have tested is that when someone sends me a message on my LG G6 mobile through WhatsApp there is a temporary dead spot in the sound transfer. So if you are listening to music from the TV there is a 3 to 5 second blank on the sound. If LG are monitoring this please test it with both the G6 and later model mobiles. My tv is a 55" UG870V software version 04.05.60. Apart from this I haven't noticed any issues. I was listening to a Blu-ray music disk.

Great value and very happy with sound quality. Certainly worth having compatible devices I think.
I did a little research on this pre purchase, so checked a few different sound bars, in particular checked the comments left by others for this model. I didn’t want to spend more than £150-£200. I also required certain system dimensions (in particular the height and depth) for the soundbar. I have a built in wall space with 55” LG TV mounted direct to the wall and in nearby cupboard space dimensions for the subwoofer lower down. Basically I wanted the tv and soundbar lined up with the wall flush allowing for space for the optical cable and power cable (no lip or anything sticking out -Sad I know). This matched up and the price dropped to £99, so had to make a purchase getting a 300w system at that price. Soundbar connected easily using optical to tv. Subwoofer paired no problem with soundbar. Visual and audio synchronism perfect. Nice and loud. So for that alone I was happy out. I did find the remote a bit annoying because it didn’t indicate settings selected anywhere on the tv or soundbar. (Others have complained the same so I was half expecting this anyway). However, I did find when I changed the tv sounds settings on the TV to connect to the soundbar I got the volume settings/levels to display using the tv controller and soundbar controller. I didn’t get the presets options to display but the still worked when selected, so that doesn’t matter really. I suspect it’s because I have an LG soundbar connected to an LG TV. I did find making that change limited the volume control level when using the soundbar controller so the soundbar and subwoofer didn’t play as loud, but I think for the better because the quality between the soundbar and subwoofer improved. Again probably due to the compatibility between tv and soundbar. I’m still able to jack the volume up using the tv remote but it starts to become too much. In a nutshell I’m happy with the quality and price, I feel like I got a bit of a bargain due to the price drop which was just good timing. I think the compatibility between the tv and soundbar system was helped a lot getting me over the remote controller and compatibility nuances others may have suffered with slightly different setups.

LG SJ3 An excellent soundbar
The LG sj3 sound bar is a great purchase. The sound is excellent and I now listen to radio music through the sound bar rather than my hi-fi.The bass and stereo separation are brilliant. There are three settings for the sound bar and separate volume control for the subwoofer so that the optimum sound can easily be attained.Bluetooth also excellent and audio input can be used with echo dot or mobile phone for music.

No HDMI, Bad Robot
This a review for the LG SJ3 Soundbar. I asked other customers and LG if this was HDMI ARC compatible. I was told it was. It is not. It has no HDMI ports at all. I had to use the optical port instead. Luckily I had a new one spare, as there are no audio connection cables supplied at all. The overall sound is an improvement on the rear facing TV speakers, and the blue tooth sub woofer is a plus, but the whole sound experience is not going to blow you away. I was going to send it back to Amazon with a Mr Angry note, but decided to give it a longer chance. Its just OK for the money, but only just.

Dont need optical cable if BLUETOOTH compatible tv.
BLUETOOTH. If you have a smart tv you can bluetooth device and dont need the recommended often bought together optical cable as just another money spinner. Gripe out of the way. Easy to set up, looks good on mantelpiece beneath the tv and good sound quality, subwoofer adds to atmosphere whilst watching football match. Looking forward to sound when my team plays.

Good but....
Nice sound, decent look but sadly reviews I read were on the Australian offering of this unit, which comes with wall brackets, this doesn't so can only be mounted on a service
