Review the extras. We know it's a classic.
The albums a classic. There's nothing more I can add to what's already been said in heralding this album.....so i'll concentrate on the merits of this version of the re-release ie the MTV show, the Re-Mix and the new tracks.Starting with the Re-Mix. I love it. There had been a suggestion that you would hardly spot the difference but for me it's there in spades. I'm not saying it's better, and the original slightly muddier lower budget production, I suppose, was part of it's charm. However, on the re-mix you can now clearly pick out all the relevant instruments as clear as a bell....which is particularly good if you have ever tried learing some of the guitar parts which in the original mix sometimes dissappear in a wall of sound. One of the best parts of getting into a band is discovering them in the first place and then discovering more and more in an album listen after listen......and it's not often you get a chance to discover that classic moment all over again. As far as the MTV DVD is concerned the quality is excellent and it's great to have that memory of the band in the early days with the whole band looking a little shy but sounding so assured, completely unaware of the classic status they would achieve. The quality of the music and performance is excellent...better in fact than I remembered. Finally, the extra tracks. Bearing in mind that Lost Dogs trawled through most of their unreleased past and had seemed to prove they'd were not capable of releasing a dud, the extras do not really live up to those expectations. However, the first of these, Brother, is pretty good, as is Just a Girl, although I could have lived without the latter.State of Love and Trust and Breath and a Scream are just earlier versions of the two on the 'Singles' film soundtrack release, but give you a good feel for what they started out as......and makes you appreciate the fact they took time to improve them.Evil Little Goat is worth it for the smile it puts on your face. 2000 Miles Blues....doesn't do any harm. All in all this is one re-release that's really been worth the purchase.

Incredible!!
Thats one of the words which springs to mind to describe the anniversary/celebration re-release of Pearl Jams' debut album Ten. INCREDIBLE!!! Thank you PJ and whoever responsible for putting so much thought and care into the production of this very very special boxset.I paid £[] for this but I probably would have gladly paid over £100 as it is just so.............sexy!!!The redux version of Ten, remixed by Brendan o Brian is amazing. It just rips more.....and Black is even more beautiful than before. Plus we get extra tracks including State of Love and Trust, one of my faves, in an early form.DVD of the amazing unplugged show from MTV years ago which Ive wanted forever as my VHS copy long since chewed itself to death.Vinyl copies of Ten, Ten (redux) and the live show Drop in the Park, which is a double disc set!!! Theres also a download voucher to get Drop in the Park as MP3 files inside so we dont actually have to touch the vinyl haha.A cassette, remember them, of a 3 song demo by the bandA recreation of one of Ed Veds books!!! Stuffed with pics, photos, doodles, scribbles and stuff.A poster, sticker, postcards, photos, ticket, backstage pass!!! This is a box which just keeps giving.Love Love Love it!!!Highly recommended

A 90s Favourite
This is an amazing album. Such raw musical energy. My brother had the CD back in the 90s and I have great memories of listening to it with him (he passed away last year). I recently bought my own copy. Great album - every track is just perfect. I listen to it a lot when I'm angry and/or anxious. It helps.

I hope it survived the journey…
There’s no doubt whatsoever that as a Pearl Jam fan who’s rediscovering vinyl, that the quality of sound and the tracks themselves will be epic… I haven’t had a chance to check it out just yet, but please have a look at the packaging it came in…. Or lack of should I say?! I really hope it’s survived it’s journey! Ironic considering I’d previously received a soup ladle in a box that was big enough to kennel a German Shepherd :D

Classic album, just made even better
Everyone knows that Pearl Jam's "Ten" along with Nirvana's "Nevermind" were the classic grunge albums of the 90's.Only fair then finally "Ten" gets the remaster and reissue treatment, complete with bonus tracks and finally the DVD of MTV Unplugged. If you already own the original CD, then don't let that put you off buying this brilliant remastered version, if you think "Lost Dogs" covered all of Pearl Jam's rarities then think again, the early recording here of "State Of Love & Trust" is as bold as it is beautiful. The DVD is simply worth the purchase cost alone, any Pearl Jam fan will tell you the MTV Unplugged show is simply magical and its fantastic to finally own it on DVD.The accompanying booklet is also a rather interesting read, lots of behind the scences pictures, tour notes and song writing slips.Overall, one of the greatest albums off all time is back, and you'd be crazy to miss it.
