Will not work as a laptop power source. Read before you buy.
I bought this for a camping holiday hoping that I would use it to charge my laptop. My experience showed that it cannot be used for this purpose. The reason being that the charger will vary the voltage based on sun input - 9 to 18 volt. Best case scenario that I experienced was around 17.5 volt - midday sun in Greece full on in the beginning of September. This was sufficient for my HP laptop to report that it is "plugged in, not charging" BUT battery was draining as if it was not plugged it. Slight shadow and the voltage dropped to 14-15 volt which was completely insufficient for anything. Connecting something to the 5 volt port resulted in a voltage drop as well. So charging a laptop and a cell phone at the same time is not possible even in theory. So I could not find a purpose for it....1. It's not the best as cell phone charger. It's way too big, heavy and expensive and has only one usb port. Same thing you can accomplish a smaller more portable device. You can also connect a controller and gain more usb ports but then you will have a bag full of stuff with you and many points of failure.2. It is completely useless as (direct) laptop power supply.3. I guess it can be used to charge a 12 volt (car) battery through a controller and then use the battery to charge your laptop. That is not a particularly likely use case scenario though (if you're near your car or near a heavy spare battery you'll probably have other options as well). Still I wanted to test that but unfortunately the controller I bought was DOA.

Decent item, decent price
Very good piece of gear. I used it a lot when I was travelling in Namibia and Botswana to charge mp3 devices and some USB lamps for the tent. Just make sure its all pointed at the sun and there you have itI also bought a USB splitter for it, but that really reduces charge time. Still, worth it if you have time to relax and wait.Never got to try the car battery charging capability though.

Recommand as much :) as i can
Absolutly love it. All my mobiles , torches, batteries are charged by that item. I use it with 2x anker 20600mah storage bank batteries and then charge whatever i want. It works brilliant. Of course it depend of weather. But when you got battery banks the gonna keep charge for days when there is no sun. In perfect day 20600mah battery can be charged in full.

18volt Solar Panel
Works as stated and to be used for camping. Charging 12v battery, mobile phones, tablets and other items. Don't connect a 12v battery the wrong way round without an inline fuse, there is no protection for that, you will fry the controller. If you do you can connect another controller for as little as £12 which has built in protection.

Fouls advertising & faulty product.
On receiving this item I was very disappointed to see its not the same item as advertised as the folding solar panel looked deferent to the photo. For me this is like fouls advertising..I probably would have kept it anyway, but Also the charge box attach to the item was faulty resulting in the pannels not charging witch left me with no choice but to send it back to get a refund.I wish the sellers would go through full checks of the items thay are selling befor sending the items off for delivers

Works perfectly
I tested it with a multi-meter and was giving out 18.1 volts at 2.8 amps on a partly cloudy day. Very pleased with it.

Really good
Really powerful and versatile. It charges my battery packs even in overcast UK winter days.
