Fine & Height Info
I bought this for touring because I use a large handlebar bag [Orlieb Ultimate 6 plus 7L] which makes it difficult to attach a headlight to my bike. The height from the handlebars to the top of the Topeak extender is 4.5 inches [~ 11.5 cm]. It provides enough height to clear the Ortlieb handlebar bag, but it could have benefited from another couple of inches to get full clearance of the downward beam. Having said that, the Topeak is the tallest extender I could find on Amazon.Other:. Mounting bracket is a little bit complicated, but solid once you figure out how to attach it [But I found it annoying compared to my other mostly Cateye accessories which have simple and flexible brackets]. Survived a 200 mile cycle tour with no issues and never had to adjust the clamp. Only enough room to fit two accessories: Headlight and a bell in my case [There are other options on Amazon with longer poles that will allow more accessories]. Plenty of flexibility: Bar rotates 180 degrees and moves to side while locking securely in any position though I use it fully upright for maximum heightSolid piece of kit. Happy with it, but I would have liked the option of a taller version.

This is the bar extender to get!
Made to usual Topeak high quality. Solid and sturdy. Will fit on virtually any bar or stem and if fitted correctly will not move or vibrate. Not the longest bar, but will easily accommodate 2 heavy and chunky items.Adjusts to lots of different angles and configurations, so you can reach round other equipment without compromising stability. If you want to fit extra gear to your bike, this is the extender to have.

Extra Free Bar for anything you need . . . And the question ....
OK . . . These fit well and securely onto your handlebar and thus you then have another few inches of Bar to fit whatever you want . . . Such as extra Lights, Computer, in fact anything extra you want !I leave the Mounting Stud (Bottom 2" of the upright attached all the time) and fit the top and Tee bar when I need them for a ride or day out . . . BUT BE WARNED !Don't think of using them as Higher Bars as they are NOT that sturdyAnd be prepared . . . always be ready . . . it never ends . . . Always be prepared(If you leave the Tee Bar attached) to answer the question . . . WHAT ARE THEY FOR ! ! !Every time you stop or park up . . . That's why I remove the Top Half when I can !

Great idea but poorly executed. Unusual from Topeak.
I bought this mostly so that I'd be able to use my TT bars but keep a front light for winter training. But it's pretty chunky so I didn't have space between the clip-ons and bar tape. Unforunately the connector is only just long enough to go on a road bike stem and putting it on required a lot of force to squeeze it in just the right place. Once it was on, it rattled about too much and kept causing my fron't light to come off. It also rubbed the paint off my stem a bit.In the end, I bought an out-front garmin mount that attaches to the stem bolts and has a universal light adapter underneath. Much better quality, much easier to fit, doesn't rub the paint, doesn't rattle my light off and it was cheaper.

Fitted to folding Brompton. Does not affect the fold.
This is brilliant. Bought for the flight deck on my folding Brompton bicycle. My Blaze laser light sits atop so that it can shine and project its little green laser image of a bicycle over the top of my front-mounted, capacious T-bag. I've also fitted to the Extender my weatherproof Tigra iPhone bike console mount, thus bringing the screen close enough to be able to navigate via GoogleMaps; and I can now even tell the time from the phone as stated in microfiche at the top of the iPhone screen. My bike powers the phone from the hub dynamo (otherwise the phone battery would last about 45 seconds) so it's a great solution for alway-on satnav.Other Bromptoneers might like to know that all of this wizardry does not affect the fold. The band that attaches the Extender to the handlebars makes for a tightly rigid fit that doesn't shake loose when I'm riding cross-country on gravel. This is important because the small wheels of the Brompton make it an absolute bone shaker off-road.

Excellent
Bought this to help reposition my cycle computer as it was set too far back when mounted on the stem and the LCD's contrast level meant I couldn't read it. This allowed me to mount it to the bars and have the computer ahead of the stem making reading the display much easier. The bracket is well made and very solid when tightened and the bar is adjustable and locks into set positions so you get no vibration or shake due to lose fitting parts. It all does up really solidly.Downsides? To adjust it the main unit angle, you have to take it apart as the adjustment screw is hidden under the bar mount... to reposition it to another location requires complete dismantling of the entire bracket and I'm not sure how many times the thin metal band will take to the bending required to remove it. It isn't a big deal really... once it's set you'll likely never move it ever.It solved my particular issue brilliantly so definitely 5 stars and definitely recommended.

Great product... Apart from a slight redesign
Fitted this produce about a week ago and holds up a leyzne strip drive front, and ion 800 fine.. The clamp WILL DAMAGE YOUR STEM If you don't wrap a bit of insulation tape as the metal band is hard on paint.. I have had no signs of issue yet...But the redesign will be in the strip that holds it to the stem.. It should be some sort of reinforced strap not a flexible strip.. I would have had it running down the side and rienforced segments.. But it is otherwise perfect...
