Natural Factors DGL Licorice 400 mg, Digestive Support*, 180 Chewable Tabs

I started taking these chewable DGL tablets to help manage intestinal swelling and overall stomach comfort. They dissolve quickly and provide some relief. I take them twice a day to soothe my stomach lining. It seems to be effective since my stomach is a lot less bloated. The texture isn't overly chalky, and the flavor is surprisingly pleasant and easy to take compared to other brands I've tried. They taste and smell slightly like anise. It has easily become a permanent staple in my daily wellness routine.

I had acid rebound from taking Pepcid for 30 days straight to fix my histamine intolerance. I was deep in a Google rabbit hole one night and stumbled across this DGL supplement and after reading the reviews I ordered it immediately. Reader, THIS STUFF WORKS!!!!!! I have only been using it for 4 days but I have not had one incident of acid rebound since I started using it and I have completely stopped using the Pepcid. I can’t believe it works so quickly. My stomach feels soothed and settled. I even had my first Dr Pepper in 2 months last night! I haven’t been able to drink anything carbonated or acidic since 2 months ago due to the acid rebound. I’m so impressed by how well this has worked I will tell everyone I know about it. It’s great for nausea and a queasy stomach too. I chew one into a paste 3 times a day (20 minutes before a meal), and love the licorice flavor. It’s not strong and tastes like candy to me. I give this a 10000/10 and highly recommend this if you have any type of stomach or gastrointestinal issues. It will definitely help!

Honestly I don't know if this works or not yet. However, I take this first thing on an empty stomach and the taste makes me gag. It's awful. It most definitely does taste like licorice, which I'm not too partial to. If you like licorice, well, then, you will wake up happy and not wanting to throw up while chewing like I am!

I have only been taking these for about a week and a half but they seem to be helping with my stomach pain. I love the flavor but I also love black licorice. They taste just like it. If you don’t like black licorice, you will not like these.

I can’t say enough about this fabulous product. For the first time, I have really taken these consistently for a few months instead of here and there, and I have seen a significant improvement in my gastrointestinal health. My gastritis has calmed down greatly, my acid reflux is much improved… my stomach just feels better overall. I still have to be mindful of my diet and try to avoid my known triggers- gluten, dairy, alcohol, but I feel so much better and this is the only supplement I have taken consistently. I usually take one 15-20 minutes before each meal. Sometimes if I’m having an off day or had too big of a meal and feel nauseous or bloated I’ll take one after I eat and it does help settle things down. I always bring them when I travel. Don’t hesitate to try these, they’re great!

I decided to try this to see if i could cut back on my Nexium I take 2x/day. It helped in the morning, even had pasta with sauce. No issues which made me so excited! Then still took a Nexium at night and figured I’d try replacing that dose after my body adjusts. After about 5 days it seemed to not be as effective. I have no gallbladder so my bile continuously dripping maybe be why it didn’t work even for a week for me. So if someone does have bad heartburn and they have a gallbladder, this may help them. A note - the taste is excellent in my opinion. I was a Flavor Chemist for years and the real licorice root taste is excellent in- obviously because it is that! A fair warning though, the Xylitol is the first ingredient - do it’s at least 80% of the tablet. It’s very strong in a fake taste. So if you don’t like sorbitol, Ace K sweetener or any of the packets in diners you won’t like this taste more than likely. I also have a good amount of dental cosmetics done, like crowns… it’s extremely easy to chem and dissolves pretty fast. It does taste awful if you took this after drinking a beverage besides water, so do it before you consume anything else and follow with water then your beverage. Also for people who don’t know, Xylitol can kill your dog if it eats it. So keep it up high. If you have diarrhea issues, it will cause more issues. Just a heads up! Hopefully this works for people that have minor heartburn/GERD symptoms.

I bought these DGL tablets to take in the morning on an empty stomach, as I sometimes deal with throat mucus and that uncomfortable post-nasal feeling. The tablets are fairly large but not too hard — easy to bite and chew, with a slightly sweet, pleasant taste. I take one in the morning before food and chew it slowly. I like that the bottle contains 180 tablets, so it lasts a long time and feels like good value. For me, it’s part of a gentle digestive support routine. Might be helpful for those dealing with throat mucus, post-nasal drip, or occasional nasal swelling.
