Will this help to break down weeds? All my allotment weeds/green waste is in a pile and need to do something about it....thanks

Yes this product will break down most garden green waste, and will not kill any worms that may be in your bin, we use this when ever we think it is in need and after having had a lot more green put in. Dose a very good job we have had some good compost from ours . So hope this helps your problem.

Is this adding Carbon or Nitrogen to the compost bin?

Its adding task specific natural composting bacteria and fungi to the pile to generate heat and breakdown and sterilise compost quickly and effectively.

Can I add it to rotating tumbler? The manufacturer does not recommend adding liquid as it slows down the process...

I am no expert but I would suggest that you only add a bit at a time as I have 2 x tumbler composters & both types hold their moisture very well. I would also suggest that if you have old dried out spent compost or other dry compost materials then you could add more liquid. Its a case of trial & error but you definitely don't want soggy compost it should be moist for faster composting & tumbled on a daily basis. Add blood fish & bone to the mix as that adds nutrients & also speeds up decomposition. If you can find any red worms in the bottom of an old compost pile add them as they also help break down material & make vermi compost.

Will this work simply on food waste? I only have courtyard so no grass cuttings to put in it

Yes it works on all food waste, although citrus fruit waste is not good to compost due to acid losding

Seems to work?

Bought this because composting had ground to a halt due to the weather. Not sure if it works or not, how do you know? It took a while before the compost began to shrink. But the weather wascwarmer and the worms came back

Easy to use and gives great results

This could not be easier to use - just dissolve in warm water and wait 30 mins then pour over compost heap. Repeat every 4 - 6 weeks during warm weather. After 3 - 4 weeks with spring / summer temperatures this develops a fungus that speeds up the breakdown of green compost. Turn the material every few weeks will help speed up the process and 3 - 4 months later you have usable compost. Very impressive and I like it much more than the old style lime based accelerators as this feels more natural.
