Excellent history
This is a good book, an interesting story based on real history. If you have read the book "Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo," this book gives an excellent visual reference. My teens devoured the book, reading it five times in four days. Some language may not be appropriate for young readers: damn and hellThe illustrations in the book do a great job with the American and Japanese fleets. One of my sons wanted more about the Japanese. Two details noted by another son were left out: the book omits Enterprise's role in providing air escorts for the Raiders, and the perfect timing required to launch the B-25s off the deck of the Hornet.Highly recommend this entire series. More books like this, please! One son asks for a book about the Navy Seal Medal of Honor winners in Viet Nam. Another wants one about "54-40 or Fight!" It would be great to have a book about the Pueblo Revolt of 1680.

Awesome book from an amazing series!!
Picked this up for my 12 year old son, who absolutely ADORES the Nathan Hale books. This one did not disappoint!Seriously parents, if you have a reluctant reader who begrudgingly picks up books, you must check this series out!• Engaging and fun.• Historically accurate, therefore very educational!• Great illustrations.• Fresh and well-written.My son devours these books from cover to cover. I’ve even had to confiscate them when he has chosen to read “ just a little bit more” when he is supposed to be sleeping. In my opinion, that is demonstrative of a pretty awesome book! With all of the devices and technology at their fingertips, it’s great when they would rather opt for a book.

Nicely Drawn and Informative
I was not at all familiar with this WWII mission, so I learned a lot. I really enjoyed the blue palette, which was a nice calming balance for the war activity in addition to it just making sense for all the ocean involved, and felt having the larger panels helped. Sometimes this books pack too many panels on one page and it's a lot to take it. Love this series.
