Highly recommend
Perfect. Around the Christmas tree. Have used it for 2 years in a row now and the kids love it. Add some water and it makes steam the remote control has buttons. The train noises. Can come off the track easily but it arrived on time and is highly recommended

Rc train set perfect for around the Christmas tree
Great Train steam engine Is into cars to make a full train set. Comes with everything you need to put around your Christmas tree. As sounds and steam. Is strong material. Is easy to assemble and use. Is good value for the money spent.

Very easy to use
I bought this for my son who wanted a train set of his own. I really wanted something easy enough for him to assemble by himself. I'm not trying to sound rude, but I have zero interest in sitting on the ground and putting together a train set. This couldn't be easier. It only took a couple of minutes to assemble and it looks great. It makes little train noises and looks like a real train, but tiny. I can't wait to see it going around and around the Christmas tree.

I wanted to throw it at a wall, but I think its cute.
I bought this for my christmas tree, and I was very excited to get it all set up and see it running. I open the package, assemble the tracks and get the screwdriver for the batteries, start turning andd.. the screw strips. The tiny little screw to open the batteries was screwed in so tight that it STRIPPED when I tried taking it out. I thought well, I didn't buy this for nothing, I'll find ways to take it out, maybe the screw was just really weak. I tried rubber band, I tried super glue, and I tried pliers. The rubber band got it a little bit out, but man that thing was in there. I saw a video where someone super glued a screw driver to the stripped screw and it worked a little bit, but the screw really, really did not want to come out. I finally went out and bought pliers from the hardware store and after a couple of tries I FINALLY got it out. It's a cute train, I love the steam feature but why is the battery screw made out of tin foil material????

Loud noises when rides.
I did not like this product because it makes noises when it rides. The remote control is easy to use. When I put the batteries in the wrong way it took almost an hour to get it out to fix it. The steam is really good. I recommend for young age if you dont mind the noise.

It works.
So far it works. That’s more than I can say for the last train. That’s also just about the only positive I can think of. The bad: There’s no button on the remote for a train horn. That might seem like a small complaint, but it’s really something that should be standard on an R/C train. The instructions are a bit confusing (English is clearly not the writer’s native tongue). There’s a button on the remote that I’m still unclear about its purpose (definitely not a horn though). The steam didn’t work the first time, then magically appeared when we started it up a couple hours later. Okay, I thought of some more positives. Did I mention it runs? Sadly, this might be the train for you if you don’t want to go through 2-3 other pieces of junk before finally finding something your kid can watch go around and around for 20 minutes (that’s actually a long time in 2-year-old time). The track doesn’t need the tiny bits it comes with unless you really want the added security. I was trying to avoid those because of the choking hazard they represent, so I was pleased when I was able to piece together the track without them. The remote is fine, but man do I wish one of the buttons was a horn!

Lovely train set
I enjoyed the ease of putting together. Batteries go into the engine train and batteries also go into the remote. I like the fact that the train tracks can be configured to either oval, circle or square-ish. I can enjoy sounds or no sounds. "Smoke" or no smoke. Forward or reverse. All features worked effortlessly and the train was exactly as described and works like a charm. For the price that I paid, I couldn't be happier.

Almost a good train
Update: the company was so nice and kind and made sure I got another replacement train. For this, I am thankful. But the train still doesn’t work really, unfortunately. Thanks for the replacement, customer service is 5 stars- but the train is still junk. Pros: love that the connectors are easy to hook and stay together. -great sounds -has steam (my train loving kid thinks this is necessary) Cons: Started to go slow after a day. By day 4, it was broken…. So you get a solid 3 days of playtime out of this train.

I had some trains to order from but this was the best one with all the features that I wanted. A “choo choo “sound, light and puffs of smoke. It runs at a good pace and it has functions to run without sound as well. Great to play with and have for the bottom of the Christmas tree , which is the purpose of my purchase.

Just updating!! Steam works!! Took somewhere around hour and half to have the steam start working. Almost returned it. So updated rating. Only thing better is if it was metal. We love it though. Bought as a surprise for my 7 year old son and literally just set it up but so far won't steam. Added the water just as per instructions but nothing at all. Had lot's to do and my son loved it and had to leave and I promised him it would be all set up under the tree for when he returned. Now all my time out of lots to do is trying to figure out why the steam isn't working. Would up rating if I wasn't trying to figure this out. There is no problem solving hints anywhere on product sheets.
