Niteangel Silent Chinchilla Exercise Wheel - 13.8'' Large Activity Running Small Animal Wheel for Chinchilla Degu or Other Similar-Sized Pets

I had previously purchased a large plastic wheel for my chinchilla, Beau. It had one plastic bolt to secure it to the cage, and has already broken one. I finally decided to buy him this one, and it has been a game changer. It is very large, and with the large anchor, Beau no longer has any problems running full throttle. The old one wobbled and hit the bottom of the cage, but this one is anchored very well and allows him to run without any problems or wobbling of the wheel. It is much quieter than the old one, but he still manages to make a decent amount of noise in it because he runs at top speed. Installation was fairly easy, it's easy to clean, and to date has been the best exercise wheel I have found. Highly recommend.

I have 4 chinchillas and they love to run! I got this wheel for them and I love it! It’s super quiet and fits very sturdy onto the back of the cage. The wheel comes with some really nice quality tools to help you install it and the instructions are super easy to follow and it took no time at all to place the wheel in for them. I like how this wheel is constructed too because unlike my chin spin no hair or dust can get into the barrings and ruin it over time. My chins love to use this wheel as their trick wheel and will go super fast they love to hop in and out of it :) I think if it was just a tad bigger my chinchillas would use it more regularly-but otherwise this is a great product and I highly recommend it!

After making mistakes with other chinchilla wheels that were 12" plastic wheels that broke and were chewing risks which we bought at the local pet store, I searched for something more appropriate. I found this wheel on Amazon which was less expensive than some other similar wheels. My main concerns with this wheel before purchasing were the way the wheel attaches to the cage and the size of the wheel being 13.8". I viewed a few videos on good and bad chinchilla wheels, and the smallest wheel they recommend is 14". So, this wheel is slightly smaller than the minimum recommended size, but I decided that it is close enough. The instructions for this wheel show installing the wood brace inside the cage. However, I read reviews here where others installed the wood brace outside the cage. As you can see from my photos, this is also what I did. I wanted to do this because I knew the chinchillas would chew that wood brace and I wanted to prevent them from doing that. In order to do this, I had to cut out one of the small vertical bars where the center screw needs to go through. After attaching the wood brace, which was relatively easy with the help of my daughter, we installed the center screw to the wood brace with the large nut. The screw was just long enough for this to work. It would be much better if the center screw was longer. Even though the wheel itself is very quiet, when the chinchillas are using the wheel, it shakes the entire cage which is why it isn't as quiet as it could be. I do have a large metal plate on top of the cage, so perhaps if I remove it the noise will be reduced. I don't really mind the noise since I use it to know when they are using the wheel when I'm not in the same room. Another issue I was concerned about with this wheel is that, unlike other wheels that I looked at, this wheel is smooth inside instead of have ridges or bumps. I was concerned that it would be too slippery for them to get any traction. However, this doesn't seem to be a problem for them and they do seem to enjoy using it. All in all, I'm relatively happy with this wheel. I hope it lasts much longer than the junk wheels I bought in the past. If it fails, I'll update my review.

It’s a decent wheel. Good quality, extremely heavy so if you have a cheap cage it probably will break the metal. Not super loud which is good. But after only 4 days it’s already breaking. The mechanism that keeps the wheel on the mount is one single point of contact with one screw and one bolt around it. When an animal runs on the wheel the spinning naturally causes the bolt to unscrew, loosen, and come apart. Have to completely take it out of the cage each time to fix it. An extreme nuisance. For the price of the wheel and it unscrewing itself when an animal runs on it is NOT worth it but I don’t have any other options right now so I need to keep it. Overall wouldn’t really recommend.

Works great. It's quiet and the chinchilla loves it. Worth paying for better quality.

High quality construction, quiet, and well designed. If you're wondering whether you should spend the extra cash to buy this, I highly recommend it. It's worth every penny. Installation was a breeze and it mounts quite strongly to the cage. It's the perfect size too. And it's quite possibly the best thing I've ever bought my chinchilla. He loves it! After a few hours of investigating, he finally figured out how it worked and he hasn't stopped running on it daily ever since. He's gonna be one jacked Chinchilla in a few months!

First the good: Silent if you can get the mounting screws tight on the cage (see "the bad" for details); seems pretty sturdy so far Now the bad: Installing this thing is a monumental PITA. The wheel overlaps the bolt heads, so you can't really get a driver to them without removing the wheel from the wooden mounting ... plank?. The bolts spin freely in the wood, offering no friction whatsoever when you're trying to screw on the wingnuts. I'm an engineer with a pretty decent collection of tools and I still had to rig something and enlist the help of my teenager to get this thing mounted. The low rating for "easy to clean" is because if you want to thoroughly clean thing you'll want to take it out of the cage, but then you have to put it back in the cage, so....

Good construction, seems sturdy enough so far. Good size, pretty quiet (until the chinchillas go to town on it and shake the whole cage). A bit expensive, but at least I know my pets won't break it, or hurt themselves on it. Vet bills for my chinchilla's roughed up foot from cheap wheels cost me like 5-6x the price I paid for this. And I had to take out their main source of entertainment for months until the foot healed. If you're wondering if it's worth the investment, it totally is. On a good day, you might even catch a bit of a discount like I did.

Grande taille, parfait pour mon chinchilla. Un peu de bruit quand elle tourne à fond dans sa roue mais c'est acceptable. Le bruit ne vient pas de la roue mais de la cage qui tape quand la roue tourne.

produit ok... mais pas bien. attachement à écrou qui se desserre avec le temps et les animaux qui utilise la roue. Poids mal équilibré et donc vibrations de toute la cage des lors que la roue est utilisée.

Worth every Penny! I had other wheels before, but this surely, has to be the Rolls Royce of all Running Wheels. I never write reviews, but had to for this one! Runs super smoothly, but what sets it apart from most other wheels, it the flat and not sloping running surface! My boys even run side by side and are in it and play with it all of the Time! Assembly was possible on my own.
