Received used product/update after replacement
The produced was used and just received it dirty with some hair on it? Thats disgusting. For a price of ÂŁ12.99 can not even try it as its totally not hygienic. *** Update, received a replacement which was clean and been able to test the product on my daughter that has mix hair, must say i really liked it. Dont need to put too much and the hair comb very smoothly. I will order again. The only issue is that there is no seal, product is wrapped in foil but once you take it off there is no other protection.

Horrible overpowering smell
This product has such an overwhelming and repugnant smell, that I can't bring myself to use it on my daughter with any regularity. It is so heavily vanilla-scented that, unless you adore the smell of vanilla, you may find it off-putting; and if you dislike the smell of 'artificial' vanilla, then steer well clear. I can only equate its pungency to one of those dangling scented trees you hang in a car; it's that potent. And it doesn't go away either. I didn't wash my little girl's hair for a couple of days and I could still smell it. As for the texture, it's very thick and gloopy, meaning it's easy to use too much. It sort of worked in my child's hair but I did feel it weighed it down quite a lot too - I am sure that sprays are a far better method of dispersing hair products. I actually have Curly Q's spray version too - again another fail though as the atomiser doesn't release a fine, wide spray - it simply shoots out in one jet (meaning I have to spray it into my hands first before applying). For such an expensive brand, I can't say I'm overly impressed.

Tames even the most unmanageable curls!!
Curly Q Custard: Excellent product for making thick, curly, kinky hair really manageable.Tames the most unmanageable curls and is great on long or short hair. Naturally elongates curls and giving great curl definition, while at the same time adding much needed moisture to hair that can have a tendency to dry out easily. You don't need too much as little goes a very long way and it doesn’t weight down the hair. It contains organic ingredients e.g. sunflower oil, almond oil, and jojoba oil as well as Shea and mango butter has a lovely light lovely coconut scent. For years you could only get Curly Q products in the USA so it's wonderful that their products are now over here.

This smells nice and is easy to apply
Lovely for my daughters hair, but it is a little oily. There are so many different types of mixed race hair that it is difficult to know what to use, I am currently working through a number of brands. This smells nice and is easy to apply, but very heavy on my daughters hair.

Good hold but awful smell and feel
Even though this is meant for children I wanted to give this a go. I have type 3a, thick, asian hair. This product did stop my hair from frizzing and gave my curls good definition. It also weighed my curls down so I didn't get a "triangle head". However the smell was awful and the feel of the product in my hair was not pleasant.

Helps with the frizz
Really makes a difference to my little girls curly hair. Stops the frizz and smells lovely! Lasts for a long time too. Would recommend.

Very good
It came appropriately packaged and in good time. The hair cream it self smells really good and child friendly (if that makes sense) it moisturises and activates natural curls. I am using it for loose plaits and twists which it holds in. I've been using it for a week and already my daughters hair feels fuller with her curls visible.I am hoping to buy the range for full effect when we start styling her hair. But def thumbs up as a natural good hair cream for toddlers!
