This thing is a great addition to your Apple Mac setup. It essentially lets you use your iPhone as a webcam. Even if you're running the latest Mac with the new 1024 inbuilt camera, this will dramatically improve how you come across. You'll appear much clearer, and you can use the phone's portrait mode to subtly blur out your background, studio lighting to darken the background further and highlight your face, and, if you move about the room, the camera will follow you if you enable centre stage. It snaps to the back of your phone using MagSafe (so make sure you have a compatible phone and you'll also need MacOS Ventura on your Mac) and feels very secure once attached. I use it with Apple's official MagSafe leather case and have no problems with adhesion. It then just sits on top of your laptop screen. It doesn't feel ultra-secure up there if I'm honest (at the end of the day you've got the weight of your iPhone sat on top of a hinged screen), but it's not fallen off yet. It's extremely well made and study, whilst light and small enough to fit into your briefcase or rucksack without adding noticeable weight or bulk, so great for travelling or hot-desking, too. It's made from a very smooth material that feels satin-like and premium to the touch. The metal parts have a dark, almost titanium-like finish. It also has a kick stand on the back so if you're not using it as a webcam you can prop it up and watch a movie on the train, plane or on your desk. Pricey (my only downside). Apple sell it too from their own website so you know it's not going to be cheap but it's a quality item and the results are worth the price IMHO.

I can't recommend it enough.

I've been waiting for this product since Apple announced the continuity feature (use your iPhone 12 and up as a high resolution camera and/or microphone) in current version of iPhone and MacOs. The item is nicely made and of good quality as you'd come to expect of Belkin and at the usual price premium. The mount attached sturdy to my phone and neatly fits my MacBook even with a 3rd party skin that I have applied to my Mac. There's never the feeling that your phone will fall of the mount or your Mac, but you do need to follow the guidance when it comes to the viewing angles that are supplied with the mount to ensure a secure contact with the Mac's screen is made. So why only 4 stars? This may be an Apple/Mous issue, rather than a Belkin issue, but the mount isn't compatible with my Mous Limitless 3rd Party case. So to use this item I had to remove my phone case and attach the mount directly to my cashless phone. Not ideal, but for occasional use something I'm prepared to suffer until my next phone upgrade is accompanied by a new iPhone case.

Works great, very strong magnet, I love that it can be removed so easily to charge the phone inductively or to dock it into a magnetic dash mount in my car, compared to the older collapsible button unit adhered to my old phone’s case.
