What is the sound/tone like at low volumes. I need a amp to use in a bedroom.

On 2 watt setting with gain and volume set at 3 o'clock through 12" speaker it works well using volume control on guitar.
I did change valves, I dropped in a 12 AT7 instead of 12 AX7 for less gain and better bass frequencies. Power valve too.
I would say this is an excellent amp for practice, recording and small scale gigs (coffee shop troubadour sessions not Wembley Areana).
Dial gain and volume up to max on 2 watt and your ears buzz. ½ watt is good for overdrive sessions. Full 5 watt this thing is brilliant.

Yes, swap valves for better quality tubes, not NOS Millard's but EHX or Groove Tubes at a lesser price and you will be amazed. Watford Valves does a great service and explains valve characteristics.

I have the guitar pluged into the input I have the cabinet plug into the socket with the ohm sign on it and I'm getting no sound

Hello! There are many possible reasons that you don’t get any tone!! First of all make sure your cable is working well!! With your plug ins is nothing wrong. Just make sure you don’t use a 16ohm cabinet! On the back is a little red light, under the Infinium label!! When that is lit there’s a problem with the power valve!! Next, try all settings on the power attenuator!! There are 3 settings possible, 0.1 watt, 1watt, and full 5watt, if any of them give you no sound the attenuator is faulty! Now last but not least, put the tone and volume settings on 12 clock!! Also the Gain knob!! Even if you want to play just clean tones, you have to play with the Gain knob!!! Then there’s a little “Phat” switch between the Gain and Treble knob, that will give a power boost!! If there’s still no success look at the Fuse in the power cable you use!! If it still does not work, send it back!! Do not try to open it up or do anything inside of it!!! It’s very dangerous and can be lethal!!! I hope this will help!

If I buy a signal splitter device can I plug my guitar and mic into the single input? Would they both work?

If you're DAW or audio input has two inputs then you should be able to record both at the same time.
