My husband was thrilled to receive this as a gift. He looks at it every night. The lights highlight the different elements and it's just beautiful. A little disappointed in its size, but happy just the same.

So puny it’s hard to see elements

The design is impressive, of course, we are not testing to see if they are the "actual" elements but I don't have trust issues... Looks great in my office!

I bought this for my anniversary gift, the light broke within 24 hours. So disappointing.

I got this for my wife for her birthday. She's a bit of a science nerd, so this is perfect for her. The base didn't light up at first, but I found out it has either a battery or a capacitor in it and can stay lit without the USB connection on it. There are no lights or display to indicate the charge level of the base, just be aware that it's there and exists before you go crazy. The display piece itself was free of any defects and looks great. The pieces inside of elements are a nice touch I didn't see in other element displays. I love this display.

At some point, anyone pursuing an interest in science runs across the periodic table. To see it laid out with samples (where practical) of each element is, to a certain kind of mind, excessively cool.The display base is very effective, with a choice of different color lighting. The clear acrylic display is of a satisfying heft, and includes a cloth to keep it polished clean without scratching it.The only thing I'd add as an option is some kind of magnifying device to better appreciate the different samples. All in all, this is a great gift for anyone pursuing a career in science, for graduation, for a promotion, for retirement, and so on.
