Bisley Steel 2 Drawer Filing Cabinet - Black

A smart little filing cabinet that is perfect for personal use. My only criticism is that it's a little unstable if both draws are open. However once aware of this it is fine. I would say it is good value for money.

These are superb value for money. They are constructed from light weight but strong metal. They work flawlessly and give the impression that they will outlast me by many decades.

Good product for the price, domestic in nature, so locks but would not stop someone from breaking into it (but you would know it had been broken into due to the damage and it’s not meant to be a safe). Overall fit for purpose, but could have been made with one or two mm thicker sheet steel.

As has been said by many others: you get what you pay for. This is certainly not Bisley quality (I'm doubtful it's Bisley at all). It's a good job we don't need the locking feature for anything other than stopping toddlers getting access. But even then, if they pulled hard enough, I've no doubt they'd be able to bend the mechanism and open it. You can open one side of the drawer when locked (it flexes as the lock only engages on one side) so little fingers could get trapped. Also, there's no mechanism to stop both drawers being opened at once, which could cause the unit to tip (definitely a concern with kids and the flimsy locking mechanism). Basically, if you're buying this for a family home, keep well out of reach of kids!

Good value and fit for purpose. Fairly light and easy to move into position (before filling with files). Black colour looks stylish in office. Pleased with product.

Bisley products are usually very good and strong. I feel I have reasons to believe this product is not a bisley brand and is very light and flimsy.
