Temperature probe works fairly accurately and is easy to read. The build quality and finish is not the best. Opening/closing the wand activates a little push button to turn on and off automatically which doesn't always make a good contact to work. It is simple to use and easy to read (as similar probes) so does what it's supposed to do, but tbh there are other professional branded ones which I would buy next time because of the quality. You'd need to bear in mind that this is half the price though so you would need to decide how often you would be using it.

Functionally it's perfect. Reads the temp quickly and accurately. Has made us incapable of under or over cooking meat. I prefer the folding ones like this because you can postion them to be easy to read. You have to tilt your head for the straight ones.Only gave 4 stars because the main body feels very cheap, almost as if I could break it if I tried. Would probably get something a bit sturdier if this one breaks but that's just me.

Very accurate device nice and handy folds up nice

Surprised by this, as most of the long thin ones that take the small LR44 batteries fall apart after a while but this is robust and for steak or baked potatoes (98deg C) they are great. A good buy.Spoke too soon -after using it about a dozen times at most it just displays LO.I changed the battery but to no avail does the same - It just reads "LO"What do I do now? return it or do I just bin it ???

I primarily bought this to cook a spatchcock chicken because I’m never too sure when it’s ready without making it super dry so thought I’d give this thermometer a try and my (spatchcock) chicken has never been so tasty and juicy before. Really glad I purchased this and it’ll come in handy when cooking other types of meat that need a certain temperature to be cooked through.

This is my second one.The probe pulled out of the housing a week after the manufacturer warrenty ended.It is amazing though.
