By 1968, better aerodynamics and more powerful engines in the competition had reduced if not eliminated the margin enjoyed by Chrysler's Hemi cars in NASCAR. The big 426-inch powerhouse needed to be able to push a cleaner shape though the air, and while the Charger 500 with its flat grille and faired rear window was a step in the right direction, further work was needed. Dodge's solution came in the breathtaking new form of the Charger Daytona. Bedecked with a knife-edge nosecone and dramatically tall rear wing, the Daytona became an instant NASCAR icon. A dazzling example of Dodge's famous Winged Warrior, this 1969 Dodge Daytona Hemi 4-speed crossed the block at Mecum's Houston Auction in April 20015.

very high quality material nice collectors package
the shipping was fast and it was packaged securely, great car to add to my collection from a wonderful TV series, the hood opens but not the trunk and doors which is upsetting.i like to arrange my collectors items on the shelf movable wheels, nice bright shiny color and interior appears to be well painted.made of durable materials by a trusted company which will last a long time with no damage. i like greenlight and thier products i recommend them to all my friends. they have wonderful products as the show enhances also. This is another of Greenlight's great TV/Movie tie-ins.. Packaging is great too, it's almost a shame to remove the car from it's shell, that's why I bought two
