Was cool at first but unfortunately the first time I went to charge it , I found out the battery is defective and doesn’t charge. I found this out 2 weeks after the return window closed. Lots of similar issues from other people found by googling .

This Imalent SR16 light is the most FANTASTIC light out there. The build quality is superb and it is extremely bright. The form factor is quite a bit smaller than I thought it would be for this powerful of light which makes it easier to carry around and hold, but it still has solid weight to it because it is so well made. Imalent put a handle on this model and it is REALLY handy. They also put the switch on the handle AND on the light in case you want to take the handle off and use the light without the handle. Very nice idea!! The fan for brighter modes is not as loud as I thought it would be, so that was a nice surprise. I believe you can hear it a little bit on the video I put on here. The light output is a very awesome. It has a broad beam, but at the same time has a really nice spot beam in the middle of it for detailed viewing, so it's one of the best beams I've seen on ANY light I've owned. The reach/throw is superb and the brightness/boradnes is also superb for this power of this light. I also bought an Imalent case/bag to carry the light which is extremely handy to have so the light doesn't get damaged or banged around. The bag came with a shoulder strap which is also super handy. The only thing I wish the light had was a USB-C charging port. It comes with a barrel type charger plug in but it probably needs that type of plug in since it has it's own charger for this type of light. I have and had many power lights before and in my opinion, this light tops them all for quality, features and a GREAT beam. I would buy this light again and I don't think anybody who buys one would be disappointed. Lastly, Imalent customer service is second to NONE. They always respond in a reasonable time and always address the issues I bring up with a solution. GREAT JOB IMALENT!!!!

Great flashlight, great customer service! We walk our dog in a very hectic village, the traffic is super dangerous. I bought this flashlight to clearly mark myself while I am walking. With this amount of light, no one can miss me. Great for night walks in the woods as well. I highly recommend this flashlight.

I have alot of the smaller yet supposedly powerful flashlights but they aren't very bright and drain batteries fast so I needed something better. This light is rechargeable and sturdy,The light is very bright and I like the 5 modes and super mode features. It stays charged a long time and is super easy to use

Update: I need to update my review of the flashlight, and I’m beyond frustrated. After only a few weeks of use, the flashlight has completely stopped working. It won’t turn on at all—no matter what I try, it’s just dead. For something that costs this much and is marketed as a premium, professional-grade product, this is absolutely unacceptable. I thought this was a reliable, high-performance flashlight for emergencies and outdoor activities. Its 55,000 lumens output and long beam range were the selling points, but what’s the point of all that power if the flashlight doesn’t even last? I barely used it at its full brightness settings, and I always kept it properly charged, so there’s no reason for it to fail like this. What’s even more aggravating is that this flashlight is supposed to be designed for tough conditions, with its rugged construction and waterproof rating. Yet here I am, stuck with an expensive paperweight that failed under normal usage. For a product at this price, I expected durability and longevity, not something that breaks down in less than a month. Original: The IMALENT SR16 is engineered for users who need extreme brightness and extended reach, with applications primarily in demanding, professional, or emergency environments. The SR16 is capable of delivering 55,000 lumens thanks to its Cree XHP50.3 HI LEDs, paired with a beam distance of up to 1,715 meters. This combination of brightness and range allows for excellent visibility across long distances, which can be essential for situations like search-and-rescue operations, nighttime exploration, and emergency response efforts. For instance, rescuers needing to locate individuals over rugged terrain or signaling across valleys or water can rely on the SR16’s beam to ensure clear, long-distance visibility even in challenging conditions. Constructed from aerospace-grade aluminum alloy, the SR16’s build emphasizes durability without making it overly heavy, though it remains larger than typical flashlights. The IP56 waterproof rating means it can handle exposure to rain or splashes, although it’s not designed for complete submersion. This level of water resistance allows the SR16 to perform in outdoor environments, whether it’s in heavy rain, fog, or snowy conditions, without compromising its reliability. This ruggedness is useful for professionals who need a dependable light source in outdoor and possibly inclement conditions, such as forest firefighters, construction workers, and utility personnel performing fieldwork. The SR16 has multiple brightness settings in addition to the maximum output, which is essential as the battery life at the highest brightness is limited to around 45 minutes. Lower power modes provide several hours of use, allowing the SR16 to function effectively in prolonged situations that may not require full luminosity. The flashlight operates on a barrel plug rechargeable battery pack that supports relatively efficient charging for a device of this capacity, though users should be mindful of heat buildup when running it at higher settings for extended periods. The digital interface allows users to toggle between brightness settings easily, including a turbo mode for maximum output. Though initially somewhat complex, the interface becomes intuitive with repeated use, and the lock-out mode prevents accidental activation—a helpful feature given the flashlight’s high output. This interface makes the SR16 suitable for field professionals who need rapid adjustments without having to reset or recalibrate between uses, such as military personnel or security staff operating in low-light environments. While the SR16’s extreme brightness may be overkill for casual users, its applications for professionals and outdoor enthusiasts are substantial. Night hikers or campers exploring remote, low-light areas can use this flashlight to illuminate large sections of trails, enabling safer navigation and the ability to spot wildlife or environmental hazards from a distance. For boaters or anglers on the water at night, the SR16 can serve as an essential navigation aid, cutting through fog and providing visibility over large sections of water. Even in tactical scenarios, like military operations or emergency evacuations, the SR16’s bright, long-range beam can function as both a searchlight and a signaling tool, with the ability to reach distances that few other flashlights can match. In sum, the IMALENT SR16 is a premium flashlight suited for those requiring high performance and reliability in extreme conditions. Its bulk and weight make it less practical for casual carry, but its capabilities far exceed typical flashlights. The trade-offs in battery life and heat generation are manageable when the flashlight is used for specific, high-stakes tasks. For professionals, adventurers, and emergency personnel, the SR16 offers a valuable tool for scenarios where maximum brightness, distance, and rugged durability are critical.
