… without having to find the stud finder, tape measure, pencil and leveler. Having all the “tools” I need in one handheld device has made small home renovations so much easier. I even used it to measure out the space I had to rearrange my furniture, and when it came time to decorate my freshly painted walls, the only other thing I needed to grab was the step stool! I did find the distance meter a bit tricky to use at first (skil has the best user friendly device at an affordable price point, in my opinion.) But, for me, the real pleasure came from being able to find the wall studs -with perfect accuracy every time- and level the space with just the turn of my wrist.

Just needed something for hanging pictures but bought this thing. Maybe I will need to use it again sometime. Was enticed by all the gagetry. Stupid purchase. Threw it in my junk drawer.

I used the cheap device to find the studs and keep my installation level for a TV wall mount. The stud finder took some practice but worked eventually (pretty accurate).

This unit is not accurate. Measure one spot tells me 12f 3in. Go back and measure that exact same spot and it's 3 feet different. Seem to pick up measurements not from laser. Will not recommend. I also purchased the green laser level and it is GREAT

Wouldn't recommend buying. This couldn't locate a stud in the wall after trying 5 different times. Laser and level feature are nice. However, overall as a stud finder not worth it.

IF you DONT need a great deal of accurate information then it WILL be good for you!But, if you need accurate locations of hot wires, center of a stud, distance between anything, or anything that is important then buy something else!I’m a professional handyman and after 2 weeks of using this device I’ve gone back to knocking on drywall and using magnets to find studs, because it’s more accurate than this device!The a/c wire detector is off by 2-3 inches, which is massive when worried about hot lines!The laser/sonic distance measuring is off by 2-5 inches ALL of the time and getting within 1 inch is impossible.
