No boost. Manual on/off. Has three preset programmes, one of which can be adjusted to suit your requirements.

Does this need hard wired to boiler

The unit has a power input connection and a switched output to control whatever you connect to it e.g. boiler, zone valve etc. Make sure that whatever you connect to it is within the switches power rating (Amps)

Does this suitable to a boiler and immersion heater system?

I think it would fine to turn the boiler on and off. But it doesn’t appear suitable to used for an immersion heater as it only handles a 3 amp load
