My dog now has a favorite toy
My dog is a Shar Pei Staffy cross, has powerful jaws and many toys end up in the bin within just a few hours. Not this one. It is very sturdy - surprising really as it is quite light. The shape is just like a rugby ball with handles at either end - all part of the rugby ball shape but giving something to grip. Inside the ball is a small round ball which helps the ball bounce even more erratically and provides a real challenge to the pup. She shakes the ball but cannot access the smaller one.The final point of interest is the squeak, this is cunningly hidden on the recess of one of the handles so is completely inaccessible to my dog's teeth. It does not squeak all the time and my pup finds it really exciting when it does squeak.Very happy with this purchase and looking at the waggy tail so is my best friend.UpdateI'm starting to look for new toys for the coming Christmas season. This means my dog has had this for 10 months. It is her favourite toy, she has just started to chew through one of the handles but not enough to make it unsafe - more chewed and distorted slightly than actually chewed through. She plays with it constantly and is still surprised by the squeak. I'm thinking of buying something similar but a different shape - it will have to be good to beat this though.

Not bad for the price
This is a new toy for grandpuppy, he likes the rugby ball but i cannot find it anywhere. So purchased this as a replacement. It looks sturdy, has a ball in one end. Only time will tell how muvh fun he will have.

Tough
Our dachshund seems able to chew through almost anything in no time flat so I was unsure if it would be worth risking this much money on an expensive toy.Within a few minutes he had put a few nicks in it and within an hour he had put some 1cm cuts in it and taken out a very small chunk. However, despite daily playing sessions and some focused chewing the ball has now survived a full month with little more damage. This is a great toy, very popular with our dog and has proven value for money despite the early damage.

One nil to the toy!
Our dog is a very dedicated chewer but she hasn't managed to destroy this yet! She plays with a lot, throwing it around, running up and down squeaking and then settles to chew. Only problem is, you can't hear the TV above the noise! It is a bit expensive but, if you have a real chewer in the house, it is worth the money. Great entertainment for the dog and us.One year on and it is still intact and and squeaking - a very good purchase.

Not very durable
Poor quality imo for a Kong toy. Standard poodle pup chewed the end off and tried to eat the pieces !

It's the dogs b***ocks.. đ
Amazing, loads of fun for a power chewer.. The ball rumbles around inside the jumbler and it also squeaks. I was sent the orange one which is bright in colour your not losing that in a hurry. Decent size aswell, two handles so you can play tuggie with your best pal..Loads of fun playing either your balls

Fab. for 3 ball crazy dogs the little ball inside the rugby ball is a great gotcha
I got this in red my 3 Jack Russellâs think its great fun . I had to get my husband to âdoctor â the squeaker though it was driving us doodle alley.. its still great fun for the JRs so far so good its stood up to their vigorous play . Not many dog toys do .. Tennis balls are soon stripped and the fluff makes them cough so i was pretty desperate for a robust toy the dogs could enjoy . Hopefully this is it .I will up date in a few weeks time .. Its looking good .

Downgraded quality in the last year
Ok so weâve bought 5 over the last 1.5 years. One is at the in lawsâ and hardly being used, so all good. The original 2 are still going strong but we bought a new one as doggy likes a not-so-rugged-and-still-squeaking ball. That one lasted a week and a big piece came off. We thought it was bad luck and got another one and that lasted 2 days, it just split today and has now gone Into the bin. Have Kong given up on their quality control? Not sure weâre gonna bother again, which is a shame as itâs puppyâ favourite past time!
