Initial impressions are excellent. Light weight means very usuable yet more powerful than even long manual screwdriver. ideal small drill for when access is limited. Will update after longer use.Have now used this extensively. It's small size and accessibility means it wins every time over the 18V goliaths that can't get close to the job e.g. drilling holes for small brackets, and it is certainly powerful enough for DIY. Its light weight means it is very controllable at arm's length. It has stood up so far to periodic heavy DIY use, and there is always the 3 yrs Bosch guarantee.I wish I had bought it years ago

The only word to describe this drill is GENIUS! great tool, great quality. I use this for most things now. it is only every so often that i have to go for the 18v makita or an SDS as this drill will make easy work of most masonry jobs as well. I would strongly recommend this product!!! Don't think too much about it....GET ONE. I have found that the batteries do last for a surprising amount of time as well.

A simply amazing little drill, it's power is stunning for a drill of this size and it gets in places that my more powerful, but much larger drill can't. I held on to the larger drill for the bigger jobs but with the poser this little wonder delivers I am not sure where I will need the larger one.

Very impressed with this bit of kit, bought this for my daughter as it's a more girlie size and sick of going round to her house to fetch my cordless back. As a tradesman and using these all day every day, it's good to find a small cordless with plenty of grunt. Quick to charge and lasts long enough to do the job, plus my little girl doesn't get arm ache using it (it does if it grabs though).

excellent bit of kit - probably all you need in most DIY tasks. Beats a lot of own brand 18V drills I think.

I am a Bosch fan and have been for years, this product is as good as it gets, excellant. Well recommended.

I got this as I couldn't resist its hammer mode, which on such a small drill is an impressive feat! The drill itself is quite heavy as it has that extra 'gear ring' with the 3 icons for drive-drill-hammer modes. In the hand it falls naturally forward and is comfortable to hold. Usual Bosch features with forward/reverse slide switch and a top 2-gear switch for high torque/slow speed and fast speed/low torque modes, and variable trigger.Chuck is keyless and takes bits up to 10mm. I've used it to drill pilot holes, countersink and then drive wood-screws on a pair of tables which was a snap. Torque control was very good as I chose a low setting and then adjusted it up to get the head of the screw flush to the surface. Also put up a LED TV on a wall bracket using 10mm rawl-plugs, on slow drill speed and using a Bosch multi-construction 160mm bit it was no problem to carefully drill the holes. I find quality bits makes a real difference, I have since junked my old Black and Decker set :)The L-Boxx (got it elsewhere) is excellent and the inlays keep the tool on 1 side and the charger on the other. You can also go to Bosch's website and use their 10.8 configurator to work out the various combinations of tools and inlays, very useful as you aren't tied to what came in your L-Boxx.All in all a very impressive combi for its size.PS - If the 3-mode ring is stuck I found just wind out the chuck jaws fully, I heard a 'click' and could turn the drive-drill-hammer ring

I bought this drill just before a major move with my family. I used it to dismantle most of my furniture for shipping and to put it all together again at our new place. I have been able to drill hooks into the walls and even put up some wall-mounted shelves. It was a bit slow-going sometimes into concrete, but did the job. Great product.
