Rio Deo - Refillable Aluminum Free Deodorant

I’ve been buying natural deodorant from another brand for quite a while, but I could only wear it around the house because it didn’t do a lot to control sweat or odor. Well that one was out of stock. I decided to try this since I’m a fan of Sol de Janeiro products. It actually works! No aluminum and yet I’m still dry and still smell nice after six hours of housework! Will definitely continue to buy this one.

love my rio deo, I'm almost out again. The smell is that smell we all love from their bumbum cream line. I feel nice and fresh when i put it on in the morning or at night, and the smell lasts me all day. I will say, since its aluminum free i wouldn't expect it to work magic with sweat or b-o unless you've already gone through the weird changing phase you have to go through when you change from aluminum deo to a natural style one. btw-what even is that? Crazy. The fact that you can refill the container is a huge plus for me! I've done that twice now. Its also small enough to just throw into your purse for extra b-o coverage if you need it.

I have spent so much money trying to switch to aluminum-free deodorants, and none of them worked. They all left me feeling sweaty, and I hated having to constantly reapply them in the middle of the day. I was about to give up, but then my teen stumbled upon this brand and I gave it a try. This Sol de Janeiro one is the absolute only exception I've found. I never have to reapply it, it keeps me fresh all day, and it smells amazing. To be fair, it is definitely expensive for a deodorant, but for us, it’s 100% worth the price because it actually does its job. I buy it consistently for myself and my teenage daughter. My absolute favorite is their light pink one (I think it’s #68), but whenever that one is sold out, I always grab this number 62 stick as my backup. If you’ve been frustrated by other natural deodorants failing you by lunchtime, I highly recommend giving this one a shot. You can save a little bit by buying the refill cartridges instead of a new one each time.

I absolutely love the Cheirosa ’62 scent. It smells so good and makes using deodorant feel a little more luxurious. That said, I don’t find this does much to keep my underarms dry, so I wouldn’t choose it if sweat protection is your main priority. I did discover that it works really well for me on my inner thighs when running. It helps make that area more comfortable during a run, so I’ve found a second use for it that I really like.

I am a blue collar girl working outside in the sun; you best believe I am TESTING deodorant. I wanted to try this product because I am already a happy Bum Bum Cream customer and absolutely love the Cheirosa 62 scent. It's a warm, indulgent gourmand that has serious staying power on my skin. In this respect, Rio Deo does not disappoint! It smells delicious and lasts for hours, even well into the night with an afternoon application. Definitely a five star fragrance! To my pleasant surprise, it also seems to make good on skincare benefit claims; I noticed improvement in the softness of the skin and more even skin tone after only a week of use. Unfortunately, the benefits come at a cost. The product is very creamy and leaves an oily residue that WILL stain clothing. There are things you can do to mitigate it: rubbing it in will limit its impact on sleeves (and probably helps with the skincare benefits), but to avoid staining bras, you may need to blot and then wait for the product to dry completely before dressing - just know it may still stain anyway when you sweat. As these stains are oil-based, they're not easy to get out. That's a fair bit of extra work for a product we typically just swipe on after a shower. There are situations where this could still be the perfect product (i.e. depending on what you're wearing; I can see it working GREAT for beach/pool days), but for the price, I would expect more from it for regular daily use.

Stays on for good amount of time, didn't irritate my sensitive skin , no darkness after use, and pleasant soft scent.

WOW this smells fantastic, and I enjoy every second that u get a wiff of myself. Feels smooth and non-sticky.

I bought this because I LOVE the cheirosa '62 scent that is pretty much their signature scent made popular from their Bum Bum cream. When I saw that this didn't have baking soda in it (since I'm pretty sure the skin's natural pH is acidic and that having baking soda in aluminum-free deodorant can cause skin irritation, at least for me) I wanted to try this. The good news is that the scent is the same cheirosa '62 scent and smells heavenly. I also never experienced any irritation when using this, which is a first for aluminum-free deodorant for me. Now, I understand that this is not an anti-perspirant, as it does not have the aluminum salts that are generally used to stop the sweat glands from producing sweat, so the fact that I would sweat while wearing this did not surprise or both me. What I didn't love is that my initial heavenly scent would mix with my sweat and turn into a ...not-so heavenly scent, especially when exercising. If I wasn't really active, the deodorant scent would last longer, ~6-8 hours, but would start to change into the not-so heavenly scent, especially with activity. Overall, I liked it, since I really do like the scent and I liked that it never caused me any irritation. But, given the price point and it's mediocre longevity of actually deodorizing, I don't know if I would repurchase it, maybe if it was on sale. I think I'll stick to my anti-perspirants for now.

Es bastante caro, pero el olor que deja es buenísimo. A ver cuánto tiempo me aguanta, pero lo mas seguro es que volvería a comprarlo.
