Not worth the metal it's made from!
I was hopeful for this item, but once received I found out what a piece of garbage it really is. There is no small flame just full on and that doesn't even work properly. No gasket in the bottle screw on adapter and it doesn't even shut off completely leaking gas waiting for a spark. I would send it back but the tip discolored

Extremely difficult to lite.
Torch was extremely difficult to lite. Tried sparker, match, and other torch. No success. Returned for refund.

Uncontrolled Flame
The media could not be loaded. So I couldn’t even get this thing to light at first. I waited a few weeks I remembered I wanted to do the review so I tried one last time to light it and it finally does light but the flame is very uncontrolled meaning it doesn’t come into a tip at all in any way shape or form the flame is just all over the place so this won’t work for me with my jewelry. It may work good in the kitchen but we shall see. I tried two different kinds of gases

Not what I was expecting
The media could not be loaded. When I ordered this I could swear it said it had a starter. Looking at the description now it says manual start. Since other reviewers had the same complaint I conclude it must have been described wrong at first and has since been corrected. If you are looking for a manual start one then this may be ok. I find it doesn't produce a pencil point flame but a spread out one. If you are soldering pipe fittings or heating something up that's probably what you want If you are doing some kind of brazing or welding maybe not. I was expecting it to have a starter so it's not what I was looking for.

It works ... not impressed
The media could not be loaded. It's only $14.00 you get what you paid for. It works fine, materials are not high end. You need a spark to light it. No big deal. What I really don't like about it is that it throws a wide flame that is not adjustable. That is the biggest downside. It does work just don't expect a high-end tool. It's not. I was honestly hoping for more.

Mislead by product listing
As confirmed by at least three who obtained this product. To the company’s credit, they have fixed the title on the product page. Originally it indicated this unit had an integral starting mechanism, now they make very clear that this is a manual start model. That’s not a problem for me, but I already have two well functioning manual start (I.e., match or flint striker) torch heads. I would have preferred to receive the features I ordered—so 2 stars for a major error in product information. But it’s not fair to condemn the product itself because of a listing error—and the torch head is fairly well constructed, except for the control knob, being all metal (but NOT all brass), and capable of screw on flame tubes. Strictly based on quality of materials and construction it is a 4 star product. So averaging the two ratings, I’ve awarded it 3 stars. If I see customer service step up to correct their error, not only in their listing, but with the customers who didn’t receive what was promised, I’ll increase the rating by another star. That’s not self serving on my part as I’m a Vine member, but others have paid for an item they understood to be different.

Good for occasional use
It is very light weight and not sure about the longevity. The knob is not very precise to adjust the flame in small increments, but I think it is fine for occasional use. I recall the description mentioning it had a built-in ignitor, however, the one I received did not and is manual ignite. Of course, at this price point it would have been a great deal if it did!

Chrome won't get you home!
This torch head has potential but unfortunately (maybe I received a defective one) it also has some issues that keep it from performing optimally. When I attached it for use, it immediately leaked in two places-there was no gasket included to seal the connection to the tank and no gasket to seal the connection between the head and nozzle. The entire head/nozzle connection was loose and the screw inside was crossthreaded. Now had everything been sealed and connected properly I believe this item would have been a durable addition to my torchhead family. The brass used for it's construction appears solid and good quality.
