Seems to respond more to my passive bass than the active bass.
This is the only autowah pedal that I've owned or tried, therefore I don't have a any real reference to comment over. That being said; It doesn't seem to enjoy life under my active bass (2018 Ibanez Sr300e) as it is much more responsive to my passive P-Bass with Seymour Duncan pickups. I don't know of this a impedance, bass frequency/EQ issue or a signal level issue. If you have an active bass then I would recommend at first trying this out in person with your bass before deciding to buy. I settled on putting spare volume/eq pedal before this in the chain.

Really enjoying this pedal, it beats the pants off of what I had before. Plenty of tonal flexibility, and the ability to blend in a proportion of dry signal is crucial in making sure that the low end doesn't get sucked out. I think I'm going to keep this for a long time.

Perfect autowah in my opinion
Gigged this pedal now maybe half a dozen times so ready to give some thoughts. The separate volume pots for dry signal and effect signal is the real crown feature of the pedal. Absolutely no loss of bottom end when both set flat; with the dry way up front and the effect held back you get a nice subtle autowah that you could probably leave on the whole time if you wanted to; or bang up the effect pot and you'll cut through a large band easily. I've found with other envelope filters that the sound of the effect can get lost in a mix, which renders the pedal a bit pointless unless you're soloing, but with this you don't have to worry about it. They WILL hear that it's on (but only if you want them too)!Build is totally solid. I'm not worried about this thing taking any damage.I'm tempted to get a second one and set it up to be really subtle and just leave it on. The wah itself isn't too 'underwater' sounding which is nice. By 'underwater', I'm referring to the old Q-Tron sound which was very bubble-bathy and never really too my taste. With the MXR you can dial in plenty of sharp attack or roll off the sensitivity and have a nice warm tone. The decay is useful for getting rid of low end swamp as the note decays away from its peak.Oh yeah, bypass is very clean. Pedal is absolutely silent both in bypass and when engaged.I'd definitely replace it if something happened to it. Brilliant pedal.
