This antenna works very well on a GMRS radio with good SWR readings. The cable length is good for an SUV install and seems quite durable at highway speeds. It was easy to use, and it was compatible with the GMRS radio as described in the product description.

I had a cheap bingfu antenna, and it worked fine but the magnet sucked. This antenna has a nice solid magnet, no fear of it coming off on the highway, and the cable is much thicker and nicer then the cheaper antennas come with. Only recommendation I have is to put a piece of vinyl tape down where ever you are going to mount this as any magnet mount antenna will damage paint eventually.

Instead of wasting your money and time, do it right, do it once. If you want a magnet mount, this is a great buy. No issues will seller, would buy again.

This is a straight forward GMRS Mobile Antenna that happens to be a good performer. Take it out of the package, place it in a good spot on your vehicle away from obstructions and it will give you good performance. The antenna is extremely well built and durable, because it’s made from very high quality materials (Stainless Steel). The magnet is very powerful, and the antenna stays in place even at high speeds, and in extreme weather. Its price also makes it an incredibly value. This antenna does not performs on par with my Midland MXTA26, but it is half the price, and unlike the Midland it comes with a very good magnetic mount and good quality RG58u coaxial cable. Right out of the package, my SWR is 1.01 to 1.03 across the GMRS frequency range.

I had a similar antenna for my Uniden scanner but hated the magnet, it always got knocked off my truck at the slightest touch. I was going to try it for GMRS but the magnet eventually detached completely and I started looking for a GMRS tuned replacement. The magnet is much better on this one, cable seems well made, and the rubber pad is a nice addition. At first I was skeptical because I wasn't getting a lot of activity on the road like I did with just a rubber duck on a handheld another day from road construction etc, but I guess the air was just dead. I picked up some static filled chatter on a repeater about 40 miles away, attached the handheld to this antenna and got much better reception. I was able to hit the repeater (which I hadn't tried before even when closer due to the static), and got a good signal report back from two other stations. The antenna came a little pre-bent in the packaging but I was able to mostly straighten it out and it doesn't seem to be a problem.
