Hens eat it
Despite the broken shells and grit looking quite large, our hens do seem to eat it. I was dubious at first, but yeah, they’re quite happy with it. Eggs shells strong and hens still laying as we head into winter.(natural daylight, no artificial lights). Clever little things!

Nice grit, broken container though
Seems good value, you get a lot of grit for your money. Only gripe is the container inside the box was split open. Transferred to a bucket, so not so bad.

Grit for hens
My Chickens seem to like this grit which I leave in their shed in a little shallow dish, so they can help themselves whenever they need to. A necessary aid to their digestion. The tub is a sensible size as the grit is quite heavy, so you wouldn’t want it any bigger. Lasts quite a while for a dozen hens.

Perfect except for delivery
Great value bucket of Grit, the chickens get in well with it, however you will want to buy a tub of smaller grit to add to it if you have any smaller birds. Keeps the chickens healthy. However due to the weight of it I have had it arrive a few times where the tub is smashed and the grit everywhere in the box, not an issue for me as it goes straight out.
